A former business associate of Hunter Biden revealed during explosive testimony before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that a noted Democratic representative was made aware in October 2020 of text messages implicating then-presidential candidate Joe Biden was directly involved in business deals with son Hunter and brother James Biden.
Tony Bobulinski testified that he reached out to Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and “was begging” him “to go on CNN and tell the world in October 2020” about the allegations, indicating that initially he got a good reception from the lawmaker, the New York Post reported.
“You have always demonstrated to me that you are nothing but an honest, with the highest integrity, individual,” Khanna texted Bobulinski, the former Biden business associate told the committee during often-raucous testimony on Wednesday.
That said, Khanna “ducked out” of the hearing before bringing the issue up with Bobulinski during the hearing, The Post reported.
“I have extensive emails with Congressman Ro Khanna in 2021 and 2022 where I begged him and his staff to sit down with me and look at my Blackberry phones that the Democrats are so focused on, to hire forensics experts and go through all of the factual information that I had,” Bobulinski noted further.
“So the fact that he did not even address me — and then scurried out of here — is disgusting to me,” Bobulinski said during the hearing before stopping to take a question from Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.).

Bobulinski’s heated statement comes as House Republicans are seeking to gather evidence of corruption against the president as part of an impeachment inquiry launched in September.
“Tony reached out a few times and Rep. Khanna was always gracious because he respects Tony’s service, but made it clear that any evidence would have to be reviewed through proper committee procedure,” a spokesperson for the Silicon Vally Democrat’s office told The Post on Wednesday.
Bobulinski expressed his readiness to share the text messages with both Democrats and Republicans on the Oversight panel. The Post said a representative for Bobulinski did not respond to a request for access to the alleged messages.
As a former associate of first son Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden, Bobulinski made a splash days after The Post’s bombshell October 2020 report on their overseas interests. He alleged that the then-Democratic candidate had been lying to the nation about not being involved in his family’s business dealings.
“I have heard Joe Biden say he has never discussed his dealings with Hunter. That is false,” he told reporters at an Oct. 22, 2020, press conference prior to the second and final general election debate between Biden and then-President Donald Trump.
“I have firsthand knowledge about this because I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” Bobulinski said before attending the debate as a guest of the 45th president.
He presented three cell phones that were used as part of the Biden family business ventures between 2015 and 2018, vowing to meet with US senators and the FBI to provide evidence contained on them.
In his testimony, Bobulinski pointed out discrepancies in the testimony provided by the president’s son and brother regarding the extent and specifics of their engagements with CEFC China Energy. This involvement led to over $7 million in payments to accounts associated with Hunter and James Biden in 2017 and 2018, as detailed in a 2020 Senate Republican report, The Post added.
According to his prepared remarks, Bobulinski asserted that the energy conglomerate served as a proxy for the Chinese Communist Party and successfully sought to infiltrate and compromise Joe Biden and the Obama-Biden White House.”
“Joe Biden was aware of the CEFC transaction, enabled it, and had a constitutional responsibility and obligation to the American people to shut it down before it began,” Bobulinski noted during testimony, noting further that the Obama administration had also “red-flagged” the firm “as a tool” of the CCP.
