BREAKING: 545 People Killed In Major US City

Barack Hussein Obama’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. However, the gun control laws have done nothing to lower the crime rate in the city…

This proves that gun laws will NOT lower crime in the United States!

545 people have been murdered so far this year in Chicago, the murder capital of the world.

Ninety were slain in August alone, and just today, two people were shot and killed.

There are three months left in 2016, and already the death toll in Chicago from homicide is unbelievable.  Just last week, 22 were shot, leaving 2 dead, and we ran the story here.

August marked the deadliest single month in the city since 1993, and the Chicago Tribune reported last month:

This August alone ended with 90 homicides, the deadliest single month since July 1993 when 99 were killed.  Asked during a brief telephone interview Wednesday what the department could do better to stem the violence, police Superintendent Eddie Johnson pointed to seizures of illegal guns closing in on 6,000 so far this year.

Johnson, who again blamed the proliferation of guns and lenient sentencing laws for much of the mayhem, is pushing for lawmakers in Springfield to craft legislation calling for stiffer sentences for repeat gun offenders.

Cracking down on repeat offenders would certainly do the city good.  But Chicago already has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.

Proponents of gun control say stricter gun laws will make our country safer.

But here’s how “safe” gun control has made Chicago:

From DNAInfo:

An 80-year-old retired preacher died after being shot in his face by a fellow resident of his retirement home — another preacher who uses a wheelchair, police and other residents said.[…] Acquaintances identified the man as Allen H. Smith, a retired minister from a congregation in Northwest Indiana, who had lived in the retirement home since 2006.

Two men were killed and three were wounded, one critically, in a shooting in East Garfield Park late Monday night, police said. The group was standing on the sidewalk in the 2700 block of West Lexington Street when someone shot at them from a passing silver minivan, according to a police incident report.”

A SWAT team was called to Englewood on Monday morning when a man was believed to have barricaded himself after shooting two men, one fatally, police said.

At 7:15 p.m., 47-year-old Paul Hamilton was walking his dog in the park, 1200 W. Marquette Ave., when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his chest, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Devon Reavley, 24, heard gunshots and tried to run before he was shot, Quaid said. Reavley, of the 9600 block of South Calumet Avenue, was pronounced dead at 8:40 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound in his chest in a homicide.
