Why let a petty thing like electoral rules get in the way of an anti-Trump candidate running for Congress.
In what is being billeted as a litmus test election (after losing a previously lauded litmus test election in Kentucky to a Trump Republican), a Georgian district race has liberals swooning over Democrat candidate Jon Ossoff. The mainstream media is giddy with anticipation that Ossoff will deliver an electoral victory denied them since Trump came to the White House.
Even a rule saying that a candidate must be registered in the state and district in order to be eligible is being glossed over with smiles, jokes and disinformation.
On CNN, Ossoff was asked about the lost chance to vote for himself and the entire question was framed in the context that he was the loving boyfriend supporting her in medical school and that he was physically unable to vote. How shrewd.
The American Mirror quotes CNN as asking, “Mr. Ossoff, is it true that you cannot vote for yourself?”
Pausing to arrange his dodgey answer, Ossoff replied, “Well, I grew up in this district. I grew up in this community. No one knew there was going to be an election coming. I’ve been living with Alicia, my girlfriend of 12 years down by Emory University where she’s a full-time medical student,” Ossoff said.
He concluded by saying, “And as soon as she concludes her medical training, I’ll be 10 minutes back up the street into the district where I grew up, but I want to support her and her career and do right by her.”
A true Leftist. Their priorities come before rules and the law.
