Florida’s iconic filler of a bad wig, Democrat Representative Corrine Brown was found guilty last week of 18 counts of fraud and tax evasion.
Wait, that can’t be right! Democrats are always propounding how it is our patriotic duty to pay taxes! Surely they wouldn’t…*gasp*…lie to us?
Brown, who lost her seat in the 2016 election, is accused of transferring “thousands of dollars from her charity into her own bank account for lavish parties, trips and shopping excursions.”
For those unfamiliar with this type of fraud, it is a part of the Rangel-Sharpton Creative Use of Taxes Program.
Fox News reported that “the indictment came after an investigation into the charity One Door for Education Foundation Inc., which federal prosecutors say was purported to give scholarships to poor students but instead filled the coffers of Brown and her associates.”
Of the $800,000 dollar collected to pay for scholarships, only one student got $1,000 in a real-life example of wealth redistribution Democrat style.
The reverberations of her guilt, American News reports, has also claimed the naming of a public building after the corrupt politician.
“A local news station reported that Brown’s name may be taken off a building in Gainesville, Florida. The Regional Transit System’s office was named for Brown in 2014, but after her conviction, that may be changing.”
Excuse me while I belly laugh.
