Country music legend Dolly Parton turned on Hillary Clinton recently when she called her “nuts” and said that her campaign has been “just crazy.” Now, this has paid off for Parton in a big way.
According to Daily Mail, Parton was honored last night with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Country Music Awards. The 70 year-old icon looked stunning in a form fitting yellow gown as she accepted the award.
“This is an absolute high for me,” Parton said onstage.
This came months after Parton alienated country fans by seemingly endorsing Clinton when she first entered the race.
We’re doing good,” Parton said originally, according to American News. “We got a woman that could go in the White House, so we’ve certainly come a long way in that respect.”
We’re glad to see that she saw the light and came to Team Trump! Congratulations on the award, Dolly!
