The fulfillment of justice through the courts relies on the impartiality or “blindness” of the judges considering the matter before them, it is an inseparable part of our legal system.

So, when a judge makes her political leanings publicly known and dispenses her comments freely, it undermines the credibility of that judge and imperils the objective workings of the court.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg has, according to a story posted by World Politicus, done just that.

U.S. Appeals judge Laurence Silberman, who worked with Ginsburg before she was elevated to the high court, has reported that the mighty Muppet has mutated from a judiciously quiet jurist into a politicized legal pundit.

“Her comments were as openly political as any justice has been in my memory — perhaps ever,” said Silberman.

This, Silberman says, necessitates that she be impeached because her numerous instances of entering the fray of national politics violates ethical standards of the court.

Will that be enough to convince the Court to have her thrown out? That remains to be seen, but Ginsburg’s sense of having free licensure to say what she wants needs to be corrected in any way possible.
