At a Coast Guard commencement on May 16 in which he was the key note speaker, the President of the United States was handed a sword as a gift of appreciation.
WorldNewsPolitics reports that after Trump received the sword, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly leaned over and was caught on an open microphone saying, “Use it on the press, sir.”
The Washington Post, always looking to turn anything Trump does into an excoriating accusation of a President running amok, found a humorless liberal convinced that threats to journalistic freedom are hiding in every shadow.
The Post excretes, “Such comments ‘cross a dangerous line,’ Bruce Brown, the executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, said in a statement. ‘But no president gets to jail journalists. Reporters are protected by judges and juries, by a congress that relies on them to stay informed, and by a Justice Department that for decades has honored the role of a free press by spurning prosecutions of journalists for publishing leaks of classified information.’”
It should rankle Americans that the Elites actually think the masses need a civics lesson before hearing a joke.
Why was there no outcry against this Obama joke:
