Fox News host Megyn Kelly is currently desperately trying to sell her new memoir “Settle For More.” That’s why it should come as no surprise that she is throwing president-elect Donald Trump under then bus and telling her side of their bitter feud.
Daily Mail reported that Kelly said their issues started even before the GOP primary debate in August 2015, as she said Trump was angry because he knew she was going to confront him about his insults toward women and about his first wife’s claim that he raped her. Though Kelly doesn’t think the question was leaked to him, she does believe “he was worried about” his divorce from Ivana Trump.
“He was afraid I was going to bring that up,” Kelly said.
The Kelly File host said that before the debate, she did an interview with a reporter who wrote the article about Ivana Trump’s claims that the business mogul had raped her, an accusation that she later retracted. After the segment aired, Kelly said Trump called her and told her, “I almost unleashed my beautiful Twitter account on you, and I still may.”
Kelly went on to reveal the state of her relationship with Trump now.
“Trump and I are in a better place now,” she said. “We left things on a good note. He’s never come after me the way he had. … Even though he held onto his anger toward me like a dog with a bone, he does have the ability to let things go. He proved that.”
Frankly, it’s sad that Kelly is so desperate to sell her book that she’s resorted to talking about Trump to make herself appear more relevant. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
