Democrats are still trying to find someone to blame for their humiliating loss on Election Day. Now, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has found herself being named as the scapegoat for the losses by many, and it may just end her career.
Conservative Tribune reported that Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, has just spoken out against Pelosi’s proposed leadership shakeups, saying they will negatively affect the CBC.
“The reality is that, from the perspective of the CBC, some changes may be beneficial while others may have severe unintended consequences that could diminish our power as a caucus within the Democratic Caucus,” Richmond wrote in a letter this week.
Pelosi was hoping her leadership change proposals might appease those who are questioning whether she is fit to continue leading the Democrats. Richmond isn’t the only Democrat who is annoyed by Pelosi’s clear goal of holding on to power regardless of the cost.
Going into the Democrats’ vote next Wednesday, Pelosi is facing a leadership challenge from Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio, who has stated that the Democrat Party needs a fresh face and fresh ideas. CNN believes that Pelosi’s chances of winning will likely be determined by her “plan” to help Democrats win in 2018 and 2020.
Frankly, we love watching the Democrats run around in a blind panic, trying to point fingers at anyone but themselves. SHARE this story if you think Democrats have gotten what was coming to them!
