Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney is trying to cozy up to liberal Hollywood.

The Biden administration has created crisis after crisis and instead of focusing on fixing those issues, Romney has been spending his time helping liberals make a movie aimed at attacking Republicans.

The movie, called “Veep,” is an inaccurate Hollywood film aimed at painting Republicans as evil conspiracy theorists.

The main topic of the movie is former Vice President Dick Cheney, who served under President George W. Bush.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported:

But, the Senator told me last month that one of his career highlights was spending a few days with the cast and writers of HBO’s Veep.

I first learned of Romney’s Veep experience in 2017 when I attended a panel discussion featuring several writers and cast members at Politicon in Los Angeles. Showrunner David Mandel said they invited Romney in following his 2012 loss to Barack Obama to help them understand how a person might deal with that situation.

Romney says he accepted the invitation mostly for one reason.

“Julia Louis-Dreyfus is a brilliant actor. I just wanted to get the chance to meet her and to meet her staff and the writers,” Romney said.

Romney seemed most proud that one of his lines made it into an episode.

“Bob Bennett said to me when I ran the first time. He told me in politics if you’re explaining, you’re losing. They put it in one of their shows,” Romney said.

Romney praised the show, saying: “The show is hilarious. I wish the language were a little less colorful, but the show was hilarious.”

The story is just disturbing for many reasons, but primarily because it reveals Romney is willing to cozy up to Hollywood elites while turning his back on Republicans.

Romney continues to find ways to stoop as low as he possibly can to attack Donald Trump.

While speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper, Romney argued that Trump is also to blame for the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan.

Romney said, “Leaving Americans behind and leaving our Afghan friends behind, who worked with us, would put upon us and will put upon us a moral stain. This is the result of very ineffective decisions by the prior administration and the current administration. This did not have to happen. It was preventable.”

Romney then blamed Trump.

“We didn’t have to be in this rush, rush circumstance with terrorists breathing down our neck. It’s the responsibility of the prior administration and this administration that’s cause this crisis to be upon us and has led to what is, without question, a humanitarian and foreign policy tragedy,” he said.

Back in May, a report revealed that Romney tried to emotionally blackmail Republican lawmakers into supporting Democrats’ insanely partisan January 6th investigation commission.

Romney “emotional blackmailed” Republican lawmakers in a publicity stunt by meeting with a widow of a now-dead security guard who used to work at the U.S. Capitol when the January 6th protest happened.

Then, Romney exploited the mother and used what she said to “convince” Republicans to support the highly partisan commission.
