As you may recall, Steve Harvey took a beating from the black community for meeting with Trump shortly after the election. Marc Lemont Hill, for example, the guy who pimps himself out to whatever cable talk show will give him 3 minutes of air time, said that Harvey was just seeking attention and called him a “mediocre negro.” The name calling didn’t improve after that.
Yet, Harvey, like Trump, wants to help out the black inner-city that has been neglected by Democrats for years. So, after Trump won the election, they had a meeting to see how they might be able to work together.
Well, as Breitbart reports, the tv show TMZ caught up with Harvey earlier this week and asked him how Trump was doing. His response might cost him what friends he has left:
“As for as doing what he promised me he would do, he is doing it,” Harvey told TMZ. “I’m working with HUD. I’m going to get some housing for underprivileged people. We’re going to set up some centers around the country. I’ve met with HUD. It’s going really well. God willing, it will work out.”
“He’s keeping his word to what he said he would do,” Harvey added when asked if he was happy with the job Trump has done so far.
BOOM! Unlike the Democrats, Trump doesn’t see the black community as a collection of pawns that he can use to gain power. He genuinely wants to help elevate those trapped in the poverty of the inner cities, and, according to Harvey, it sounds like he’s doing just that.
