Last week, it was revealed that Barack Obama’s Department of Justice granted immunity to Cheryl Mills, yet another of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aides. This was a clear attempt to continue to keep Clinton out of trouble with the law until after the November election, and the move did not sit well with Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
“(Clinton) had classified information on those computers, so you offer immunity to Cheryl Mills, who has classified information on her computer?” the South Carolina Republican asked rhetorically during a Fox News appearance on Sunday.
“How can you possibly then prosecute Hillary Clinton for having classified information on her computer?” he continued, according to Conservative Tribune. “You couldn’t do it.”
The DOJ has been undermining the FBI’s investigation into Clinton from the beginning by granting her closest aides immunity left and right.
“I have seen the get out of jail free cards,” Gowdy added. “What I don’t see is the jail. Usually you strike immunity to further a prosecution. There is no prosecution. It’s just five get-out-of-jail-free cards.”
Gowdy went on to accuse Obama’s State Department of having “aided and abetted” in the cover-up of Clinton’s crimes.
“The State Department, which is supposed to be apolitical, non-interested in the next presidential election, has been covering for Hillary Clinton since she left office,” he said.
The State Department made various concessions for Clinton, such as allowing her to hold onto her emails for at least two years and letting her delete those emails that she falsely claimed were of a personal nature. In addition, the State Department has done everything in it’s power to stall the release of these emails.
Like millions of other Americans, Gowdy is sick of Obama and his minions protecting Clinton and trying to rig this election for a criminal. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
