TRUMP ANNOUNCES HIS CABINET

Donald Trump shocked millions of Americans last night when he beat Hillary Clinton in the presidential election. Now, Trump’s shortlist for positions in his administration has been revealed, and some of his choices may surprise you.

During his victory speech last night, Trump gave shoutouts to Rudy Giuliani, Chris Christie and Sen. Jeff Sessions, and Politico reported that each of these surrogates are being strongly considered for positions in his cabinet.

Giuliani is being considered for the position of attorney general, which Christie was originally thought to be a shoo-in for. However, with two aides on the hook for the “bridgegate” scandal, Giuliani is seen as a safer choice for the position. Christie instead currently leading Trump’s transition team.

Daily Mail reported that Trump is reportedly considering Sessions, an Alabama Senator, as his Secretary of Defense. He was hoping to appoint Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn to the position, but Congress would have to approve to wave a rule that says the secretary of defense has to have been out of the military for seven years.

Other people Trump is considering for his administration include former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who the future president is thinking about appointing as Secretary of State. Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton are also being considered for the position.
