The mainstream media has been relentlessly attacking Donald Trump ever since he first announced he was running for president. Now, the president-elect is getting revenge on them in an epic way.
The Independent Journal Review reported that Trump stood reporters up at a press conference Tuesday night in favor of sneaking off to a pricey steakhouse to enjoy dinner with his family. The liberal media was livid at the snub, saying it was “not a normal situation.” NBC News ridiculously called this move a “travesty” and said it suggested a “lack of transparency” from Trump.

CNN’s top Trump-basher Brian Stelter was enraged by what Trump did.
Looks like Trump went out for dinner tonight — but the president-elect’s press pool was not notified, so journalists are not on the trip https://t.co/p2g5X7j8Tg

CBS News’s Steven Portnoy expressed concerns that the media will not be able to deliver “accurate info” on Trump to the American people.
The American people *depend* on accurate info re potus whereabouts. Hoping for an appreciation of this, to uphold solemn WH/press tradition.

Twitter users, however, slammed the mainstream media for their hysteria over Trump’s family dinner.
@NBCNews this is an Onion article right?

MSM is extremely jealous that Trump is eating steak while they’ve been eating crow for a week. https://t.co/Do8A59RTnu

Even Vox’s left-wing blogger Matthew Yglesias thought the mainstream media went too far with this.
Hate to defend Trump but I don’t really understand the protective pool controversy. He’s not president yet. Can’t the man eat some dinner?
