Republicans Want Schiff To Lose Security Clearance Over Impeachment Stunt

The Republican-controlled Senate voted two weeks ago to officially acquit President Donald Trump on both articles of impeachment.

The impeachment witch hunt is finally over, but House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is back in the news.

And two top Republicans are charging that Schiff is a “liar” who should lose his security clearance.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has had enough of Schiff’s blatant lies and charged him with several prominent examples of such during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Hannity was discussing the obvious disparity of treatment within the American the justice system as evidenced by the fact that Trump associate Roger Stone is facing prison for lying to Congress, while federal bureaucrats like former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe have managed to avoid prosecution for lying to investigators.

“There’s one person you have to add to the lying list, and that’s Adam Schiff,” McCarthy said.

“He used his chairmanship to lie to us that he had proof [of Russian collusion], he lied to us about not knowing who the whistleblower was,” the top congressional Republican continued. “He lied to us by using that committee to actually tell us the FISA court was OK, and then he lied to us one more time when he read the transcript that was not true.”

McCarthy is the second top Republican to call out Schiff.

During an interview last week on Fox News, former Utah Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz said Schiff must go.

“I still, to this day, do not understand why Adam Schiff has a security clearance,” said Chaffetz. “He continues to lie.”

Schiff is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, which gives him several privileges — including high-level security clearance and access to sensitive information.

However, since he “continues to put out information that he knows is not true,” Chaffetz strongly implied that Schiff should have his security clearance taken away.

“He has stood in front of the United States Senate and talked about things that are not in the impeachment. I think he is a terrible embarrassment and somebody has got to, I hope, answer the question, ‘why do you have a security clearance?’” Chaffetz asked.

Schiff has been busted countless times lying.

This is the same man who swore repeatedly that he saw damning evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia, only for that to be false.

He was completely wrong when it came to abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act by the FBI.

He falsely claimed for two years that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller had evidence that Trump broke the law and colluded with Russia.

Schiff lied during an open hearing in the House and “parodied” a phone conversation between Trump and Zelensky when an actual transcript of the call was publicly available.

We recently learned the alleged Ukraine whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, has a “bro-like” relationship with one of Schiff’s top aides.

Ciaramella is widely believed to be the CIA official who filed a complaint in August regarding Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky back in July.

Before that, Schiff and Democrats got caught intentionally omitting key evidence in transcripts that were favorable to Trump and exonerated him from “quid pro quo” allegations.

With all of this considered, many agree with Chaffetz and McCarthy that Schiff must go.
