Senator Tom Cotton Says Chief Justice John Roberts Should Resign

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has been a continued disappointment to conservatives in the United States.

The Justice, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush, is supposed to be part of the conservative majority on the court, but he has continued to side with Democrat causes.

His actions have been deemed political by many after his recent ruling on DACA and now one senator is calling on him to resign.

“It cannot be the law that what Barack Obama has unlawfully done, no president may undo,” Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton said, The Federalist reported.

“John Roberts again postures as a Solomon who will save our institutions from political controversy and accountability. If the Chief Justice believes his political judgment is so exquisite, I invite him to resign, travel to Iowa, and get elected. I suspect voters will find his strange views no more compelling than do the principled justices on the Court.”

And Sen. Cotton was not alone in his contempt for the Justice’s decision as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said that the chief justice is using his position to do what he wants rather than what is the law.

“Judging is not a game. It’s not supposed to be a game but sadly over recent years more and more, Chief Justice Roberts has been playing games with the court to achieve the policy outcomes he desires,” he said.

Chief Justice Roberts was joined by the four liberal justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonya Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer.

The decision to stop President Donald trump from ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals       executive order of former President Obama was unprecedented and thrilled New York Sen. Charles Schumer.

“I literally cried tears of joy when I heard the DACA decision. The wonderful young Dreamers and their families have a huge burden lifted off their shoulders. One day they will become American citizens,” he said.

And in that tweet is the goal. It is not about Dreamers staying, it is about making them voting citizens who can keep voting for Democrats.

But President Trump is not going to quit just because some activist judges took an activist stand where they had no right to.

The president has vowed to continue to protect the Constitution and the laws of the land.

“The Supreme Court asked us to resubmit on DACA, nothing was lost or won. They ‘punted’, much like in a football game (where hopefully they would stand for our great American Flag),” he said.

“We will be submitting enhanced papers shortly in order to properly fulfil the Supreme Court’s ruling & request of yesterday. I have wanted to take care of DACA recipients better than the Do Nothing Democrats, but for two years they refused to negotiate – They have abandoned DACA. Based on the decision the Dems can’t make DACA citizens. They gained nothing!” he said.

The decision by Chief Justice Roberts came after he sided with liberals on LGBTQ protections in the workplace last week,” The Los Angeles Times reported.

The chief justice has been responsible for keeping Obamacare in place and stopped President Trump from adding a citizenship question to the Census.
