Arizona Republican Attorney General Mark Brnovich is sounding the alarm on the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.
During an interview, Brnovich slammed President Joe Biden’s “failed” immigration policies, saying his administration exhibits a “consistent pattern” of undermining the law.
“Look, the consequences of a broken Congress have been dangerous, they are devastating our community for years. And now as a result of these failed Biden Administration policies and a Democrat in the White House, people in this country are literally dying,” Brnovich said.
“I can’t worry about the politics of whether Title 42, our office arguing that case, our office leading lawsuits, whether that somehow helps the Biden Administration politically. What I’m trying to do is protect hardworking Americans and hardworking Arizonans against the flood of illegal immigration and illegal drugs coming into this country. And Title 42 is one of the last tools we have in our toolbox to prevent the system from being overwhelmed even more,” he added.
“You can even hire more Border Patrol agents, but when you have an administration and enablers like Cartel Kelly in the U.S. Senate that essentially is allowing them to decriminalize and incentivize people breaking the law, it really won’t matter at the end of the day. Yeah, do we need more resources, do we need more Border Patrol agents? Should it be troubling to American taxpayers that the Biden Administration wants to spend more money on green energy and bogus environmental projects than securing our border?” he asked.
“Yeah, that’s all troubling. But at the end of the day, this country is about the rule of law. And that means that we have to have people in public office, especially the executive branch, following the law. So whether it’s failure to deport people, deportation orders we sued Biden over, whether it’s trying to incentivize people by giving welfare benefits to non-citizens, which a case [indecipherable] Supreme Court just recently, or whether it’s what they’re doing now with Title 42,” he added.
“There is a consistent pattern where what they’re trying to do is to systematically undermine the law and empower the cartels. At the end of the day, I am very dubious and skeptical of anything coming out of the Biden Administration and anything that’s coming out of his spokespeople or whoever is speaking in his earpiece,” Brnovich continued.
Late last month, it was reported that another massive migrant caravan described as “potentially the largest” ever is currently en route to the U.S. border, with some participants pointing to Biden’s statements among their reasons for coming.
One Haitian traveling with the caravan told Fox News he wants Biden to keep his promise to allow them to stay once they arrive.
“He promised the Haitian community he will help them,” the migrant said on Friday. “He will recall Title 42. He will help us have real asylum.”

The migrant is taking part in a caravan that could become the largest ever to reach the U.S. southern border, with the current number of close to 10,000 migrants, is expected to swell to about 15,000 before it reaches the border.
The caravan departed Tapachula on the Mexico-Guatemala border on Monday. The migrants, which mostly come from Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, will travel what is known as the coastal route to reach the U.S. border.
Fox News labeled the masses of migrants “potentially the largest caravan ever.”
“We consider we are around 9,500, it measures 5 1/2 km from the start to the end, people keep on joining, in the first police check there was approx 100-150 national guard, INM, state police and let us through freely,” the caravan’s organizer, Luis Villagran, told Fox News on Monday.
Their comments come as the Biden administration continues to wage legal war in its bid to end Title 42, a Trump-era rule that authorized rapid deportation of most illegal aliens, bypassing the typical legal process, due to the pandemic.
The intent of the rule was to slow the spread of the deadly virus, though President Trump was labeled a racist for implementing it. Earlier this year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced it planned to lift the order.
“But a lawsuit filed by 24 states at least temporarily put plans to end the rule to a halt, with a Louisiana U.S. District Judge ruling that the restrictions can stay in place until the lawsuit is resolved,” Fox News noted. “The states have argued that lifting the rule would lead to a ‘wave of illegal migration and drug trafficking.'”
