As Coronavirus Ravaged Her District Ocasio-Cortez Stayed In Her Posh Washington D.C. Apartment

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a loathsome human being and a useless representative for her district.

And she proved it again as coronavirus ravaged her district, but she sat, safe and sound, in her posh Washington D.C. apartment.

The queen of the underprivileged and downtrodden has taken to living the life of a high profile politician, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

She held a “virtual forum” on April 1 from the confines of her comfortable apartment as they sat in the danger zone.

“She is out of touch,” Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, a Democrat and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s primary opponent, said.

“For weeks families have been worried about where they are going to get their next paycheck. AOC hasn’t been here to see their desperation and their struggle to survive. Why is she in DC when Congress isn’t in session?” she said.

The House adjourned for three weeks after it voted on the stimulus bill, but the 30-year-old representative stayed behind in D.C.

After all we would not want her to take time away from fighting for stimulus funds for illegal aliens.

“We need to continue to make federal investments in our community health centers,” he fellow Squad member, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, said during an appearance on MSNBC. “We need to center the humanity of every individual family and workers and that includes not leaving behind undocumented and uninsured.”

“We have to continue to make investments to support vulnerable populations like those experiencing homelessness, incarcerated men and women. We’re focused right now making sure the CARES Act in its implementation is one that is in urgent need and mitigating the hurt that so many of our families are experiencing — all of our families are experiencing right now,” she said.

Democrat Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib has called for debit cards pre-loaded with $2,000 to be issued to every person in the United States, including those who arrive illegally.

In her proposal she said that “every person” includes “Non-citizens, including undocumented people, permanent residents, and temporary visitors whose stay exceeds three months.”

And her idea to pay for it, because she does not know how economics works, is for the United States Mint to print two $1 trillion coins.

“The Treasury Secretary would direct the U.S. Mint to issue two $1 trillion platinum coins, under the legal authority provided by 31 U.S.C. § 5112(k),” she said.

“It is absurd and cruel that a taxpaying, mixed status couple or family could be excluded from this relief. Over 140,000 Minnesotans live in mixed status families of some form,” Rep. Ilhan Omar said . “As currently written, many Minnesotans who are in this country legally or part of a mixed status family will not receive any stimulus money, even if one of them has a social security number but the other does not.”

“The Recovery Rebates Improvement Act will expand the eligibility requirement to ensure joint tax filers with one SSN will receive payment and provide more people with vital economic assistance. Comprehensive legislation is needed in the next package to ensure that all noncitizens, whether holding a SSN or not, can access these relief payments,” she said.

Not to be outdone, Ocasio-Cortez got in on the act with her own proposal.

“I don’t know if some of these people have the political imagination and the political will to really understand the scale of action that we’re going to have to take just to … keep things relatively preserved for everyday life,” she said.

“The question is, are our elected officials going to allow people to die? Would they prefer people to die or not have health care than actually guarantee health care?

“And there are quite a few who will make that choice,” she said as she said she wanted to provide economic help to those who are undocumented.
