Comedian Roseanne Barr did not hold anything back when she responded to a tweet from President Joe Biden’s account where he made reference to the worsening fentanyl overdose crisis.
“Deaths from fentanyl are an American tragedy that requires global action,” Biden’s account posted last week.
“I’m committed to doing everything I can to control this crisis – from expanding prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery, to working with Chinese, Mexican, and Canadian partners to tackle this,” his account noted further.
Barr responded: “Close the fucking border then, dips**t.”
Close the fucking border then, dipshit.

Tens of thousands of Americans overdose on the drug each year, and that number has been steadily growing during Biden’s administration after he reversed nearly all of then-President Donald Trump’s border security and immigration enforcement policies.
“Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use as an analgesic (pain relief) and anesthetic. It is approximately 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin as an analgesic,” the Drug Enforcement Agency notes on its website.
“Rates of overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids other than methadone, which includes fentanyl and fentanyl analogs, increased over 22% from 2020 to 2021. The rate of overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids in 2021 was nearly 22 times the rate in 2013. Nearly 71,000 drug overdose deaths involved synthetic opioids other than methadone in 2021,” the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention added.
In a report, the DEA notes further:
Currently, China remains the primary source of fentanyl and fentanyl-related substances trafficked through
international mail and express consignment operations environment, as well as the main source for all
fentanyl-related substances trafficked into the United States. Seizures of fentanyl sourced from China
average less than one kilogram in weight, and often test above 90 percent concentration of pure fentanyl.
As Beijing and the Hong Kong Special Autonomous Region (SAR) place restrictions on more precursor
chemicals, Mexican transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) are diversifying their sources of supply.
Meanwhile, left-wing media types, Democrats, and pundits galore regularly blasted then-President Trump’s border wall as “racist” and “anti-immigrant,” but most of them haven’t leveled similar criticism at Biden after his administration announced it would restart construction of the wall amid the worst illegal alien and drug-smuggling crises in recent memory.
“The Biden administration announced last week it would waive 26 federal restrictions to accelerate construction of the wall along the Texas-Mexico border. President Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have said their hands were essentially tied and their policy that walls don’t work hasn’t changed,” Fox News reported.
Mayorkas claimed in a statement: “We have repeatedly asked Congress to rescind this money, but it has not done so, and we are compelled to follow the law.”
That said, the liberal legacy media criticized Trump for years over the border wall.
“But he only talks about that wall as a solution, as a cure-all as a panacea, the whole back the Brown menace that he wants you to believe in, like we’re living in some bizarre ‘Game of Thrones’ drama, except the walkers are Brown not White of course,” former CNN host Chris Cuomo said during one of his shows.
Jason Johnson previously said on MSNBC that a wall at the southern border was a “monument to White Nationalism.”
“Anybody who agrees to give any money to this wall is foolish,” he added, per Fox News.
Rick Tyler, an MSNBC contributor, claimed without proof in 2018 that Trump’s wall was all about keeping “non-White people” from crossing the border. He added another baseless claim, that any fears surrounding the wall were “all race-based.”
Tyler also wondered aloud why Trump wasn’t worried about Canadians, who he said had the “biggest Visa overstays.”
Futuro Media Group president and CEO Maria Hinojosa told MSNBC’s Joy Reid in 2019 that the wall was “racist.”
“What is this all about? This is about a wall that is to keep people like me and my students and their families out. It is a wall that is racist. So that’s why there is all of this human suffering,” she charged, again without proof.
