The Biden administration is terrified of people learning the truth about its disastrous situation at the Southern border with Mexico.
They are so terrified of it that one of Joe Biden’s administration officials actually asked the Republican senators who toured the Southern border to delete their pictures of the conditions there, The Washington Examiner reported.
“There was one of Biden’s representatives. I felt sorry for the lady because she actually talked to me about deleting a picture, but by the time she got to me, all those other pictures were taken, and that shows you the hypocrisy,” Indiana Sen. Mike Braun said.
“None of us would have gone down there if we were going to be muzzled,” Braun said. He also said that Border Patrol also asked them not to take photos, but that “they were telling us that because they had to.”
Those photos showed children as young as 3 years old jammed into the facilities that Braun described as the worst situation for migrants in 20 years. He earlier provided Secrets with a video of migrants being held by the dozens under a bridge.
In a debriefing of the tour, Braun said that one of the first stops was with border agents at the edge of the Rio Grande, where illegal immigrants typically cross. There, he said, the “coyotes,” who charge $4,000 to $20,000 to get migrants across, heckled the group in Spanish.
“All of a sudden to hear from the other side of the river taunting from the smugglers and coyotes, most of it in Spanish, telling the border guards that whatever you do, we’re coming,” said Braun. “That kind of hit home in such an anecdotal way because it is one story that kind of is a metaphor for what’s happening all up and down the border,” he said.
The senator said that the crisis is of Biden’s own making by announcing that he was changing all of President Trump’s border policies that he essentially gave illegal immigrants a welcome mat and an incentive to come to the border.
“A big welcome sign was put out,” he said. “I think it was a political blunder.”
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who was also on the trip, described the atrocious conditions that the migrants are living in at the border.
“These are the Biden cages,” he said, showing the kids with their faces blurred, “Thousands of kids, in the midst of a pandemic, crammed in at 1500% capacity,” he said. “This is just one of the ‘pods’ at Donna. There are SEVEN more, equally full.”
“We just saw a dead body floating on the Rio Grande coming by, someone who died crossing no doubt with a trafficker. This is inhumane what is going on.” Cruz said at a press conference talking about the conditions he and his colleagues witnessed. “Joe Biden and the Biden administration have made decisions that are causing these people to suffer and to do this in a pandemic is particularly irresponsible.”
“John and I were able to bring 18 senators down to Texas, down to the Valley, to see firsthand the crisis that is unfolding here,” he said. “All of us today witnessed the ‘Biden cages.’ What is occurring here on the border is heartbreaking, and it is a tragedy.”
On Sunday, when asked by “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace when reporters would be able to access the facilities, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki danced around the question.
“We want to provide access into the border patrol facilities,” she said. “We are mindful of the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic. We want to keep these kids safe, keep the staff safe, but we are absolutely committed to transparency and providing access to media to the border
