A former White House physician is once again sounding the alarm over Joe Biden’s mental capacities following a bombshell report by The Wall Street Journal citing lawmakers and others who have had interactions with the president in recent months that his mind is fading fast.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), who served in the administrations of Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, reiterated his previous warnings about Biden’s declining mental condition in an interview with Fox News following the Journal report earlier this week.

“The article’s just documenting what I’ve been saying all along: he’s not fit to be the commander-in-chief,” Jackson told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. “He’s got significant issues. He shouldn’t have the job. You know, it’s a national security issue for us.”

This follows a groundbreaking report by Journal, which, after several months of interviews with 45 individuals, claimed that congressional leaders and others who have met with Biden have observed he “seems slower now” and is “someone who experiences both good moments and bad ones.”

The White House has vehemently pushed back on the report and claimed it was a Republican hit piece, though some Democrats were interviewed and also made similar remarks about Biden’s declining mental status, though some have walked back their remarks after the administration contacted them, according to reports.

The report said, “Most of those who said Biden performed poorly were Republicans, but some Democrats said that he showed his age in several of the exchanges.”

Also, it has been clear for much of Biden’s term that there are times when he clearly struggles to speak, with video clips of his mental and physical gaffes going viral. Last year, administration officials convinced him to stop using the tall steps into Air Force One and instead use a lower entrance and exit with far fewer steps. Also, he now wears shoes that get better traction so that he avoids slips and falls.

Jackson theorized that the WSJ story could be the start of a political coup to replace Biden atop the Democratic ticket.

“I think that the fact that it came out like this and is so well sourced tells me that this might be the left’s first attempt to start laying the groundwork to get rid of him,” Jackson said.

Jackson told Fox News Digital that he has sent five letters to the White House since Biden took office in January 2021. In these letters, he urged the president to undergo a cognitive test and to disclose the results to the public. Jackson mentioned that he has not received any response to any of the five letters he sent.

“I don’t know if it does any good to send another letter at this point,” Jackson said. “They’ve ignored them all.”

During Trump’s term, he underwent a cognitive exam administered by Jackson at the behest of Democrats who dogged him over the issue. The Biden regime has summarily resisted repeated demands by Republicans, including Jackson, that the current commander-in-chief reciprocate, but so far, that hasn’t happened.

Fox added:

There have been several recent polls that show Biden’s age is a top concern for voters.

A March New York Times/Siena College poll found that 61% of respondents who voted for Biden in 2020 agreed with the statement, “Joe Biden is just too old to be an effective president.”

Bates hit back at the Journal’s report, saying, “Congressional Republicans, foreign leaders and nonpartisan national-security experts have made clear in their own words that President Biden is a savvy and effective leader who has a deep record of legislative accomplishment.”
