One of Fox News’ top hosts appeared stunned when a network reporter informed her that President Joe Biden had not yet contacted the families of the three American service members who were killed earlier this week in Syria.
On Saturday night, a one-way attack drone crashed into the Jordanian base, resulting in the deaths of three service members and injuries to 25 others. The White House attributed the attack to Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq, marking a significant escalation in the Middle East.
According to Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, President Biden has not yet reached out to the families of Sgt. William Rivers, Specialist Kennedy Sanders, and Specialist Breonna Moffett, which appeared to shock host Harris Faulkner.
“Also, Harris, watching for news that the president has contacted the families of these fallen soldiers or that he plans to attend their dignified transfer at Dover. Neither of those questions [did] the White House have any answers on yesterday,” Heinrich told Faulker Tuesday.
“It’s been three days,” Faulkner said.
“Yeah,” Heinrich replied.
“That’s a lot,” Faulkner replied. “Well, we’ll thank them. We’ll thank those families and those patriots we’ve lost and all those men and women in harm’s way in the Middle East. We’ll say thank you and tell them that we love them.”
WATCH:
The attack represents the first occurrence of U.S. service members losing their lives at the Jordanian base and in the Middle East since the beginning of the Gaza war.
During a Monday appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre struggled to articulate a cohesive statement regarding the three service members who lost their lives, according to The Daily Caller.
“What I will say, our deepest, uh, obviously, our deepest condolences go out, and our heartfelt condolences go out to the families, uh, who lost three brave, uh, three brave, three brave — three folks who are military folks who are brave, who are always fighting, who are fighting on behalf of this administration, of the American people,” Jean-Pierre said.
KJP was blasted on social media for saying the three fallen service members were “fighting on behalf of this administration,” with many correcting her in saying that, no, they were serving the country, not the White House.
No, Karine Jean-Pierre.
Our military doesn’t fight for the Biden administration.
Our military fights for the American people and to protect our freedoms.
What a disgusting, pompous comment that truly encompasses the mindset of these frauds in the White House. https://t.co/AG7ZVva1IU

We don’t fight on the behalf of any political party/administration. We trust that the American people use their vote wisely so that when we are called to fight, it is for a moral and just cause. Unfortunately that doesn’t happen very often since most of our wars are horseshit.

Fighting on behalf of “this administration”?
These are soldiers fighting on behalf of their country. They are not a Praetorian Guard whose job it is to keep Emperor Joe Biden propped up and in power.

Can we get someone who isn’t a DEI hire to speak on behalf of fallen soldiers who died for America and NOT for Joe Biden?

This is how tyrants speak. Not a single thought for the people, just themselves. And they wonder why recruitment is at an all-time low.

The White House did put out a statement on Biden’s behalf.
“The three American service members we lost were patriots in the highest sense,” said the statement. “And their ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten by our nation. Together, we will keep the sacred obligation we bear to their families. We will strive to be worthy of their honor and valor. We will carry on their commitment to fight terrorism. And have no doubt — we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing.”
