Ohio Republican Jim Jordan says there’s one set of rules for Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and another for people like former President Donald Trump.

During an interview on Fox News with Harris Faulkner, Jordan spoke about sensitive documents being discovered in the garage of Biden’s Wilmington home as well as his think tank. There are also questions surrounding a lack of transparency on why the U.S. Secret Service apparently does not have any visitor logs from Biden’s Delaware home.

Jordan vowed that House Republicans would “get to the bottom” of it and hold investigations of their own. He also spoke about Trump being treated much differently than Biden and even Clinton when she came under fire over her private email server scandal.

In the interview, Faulkner asked Jordan: “Two House committees now investigating the classified document found in President Biden’s possession in multiple locations. There could be others. And there’s a special counsel probing all of this as well. So a lot of people looking at it. The situation is sparking national security concerns, especially the documents that were in his Wilmington, Delaware, home. Some of those were — had some markings on them like ‘top secret.’ Our own Peter Doocy shared this photograph from his archives that shows the now president’s home which now even — I mean, not even a lick of security around it and the picture is from 2019. The White House tore into the probes and defended the president this way: ‘House Republicans have no credibility. Their demands should be met with skepticism and they should face questions themselves about why they are politicizing this and admitting they actually do not care about the underlying classified material. President Biden is doing the right thing and is cooperating fully with a thorough review, but House Republicans are playing politics in shamelessly hypocritical attempt to attack President Biden.’ That’s my White House voice. Chairman?”

Jordan responded: “I mean, this is not about politicizing anything. This is about the double standard that I think is so evident to the American people. There were one set of rules for Secretary Clinton, one set of rules for Joe Biden, and a different set for President Trump. And anyone with common sense can see that as well. So, we just — I point to this. I still remember when I questioned Secretary Clinton in the Benghazi hearings about her 60 some thousands emails. I asked her a very simple question. Madam Secretary, why don’t — we don’t want to see the personal emails. This is America. You have privacy rights, we get that.”

He continued: “But we don’t exactly trust you and your lawyers to turn over to the committee what the American people are entitled to see. How about this idea? We let a neutral third party, like a retired federal judge, examine those emails and then they’ll decide. No, no, no, she couldn’t do that. Her lawyers had to decide. And of course, we know, she destroyed 30,000 of those 60 some thousand emails. Why do they get to operate that way versus how President Trump was treated? So, we just want — we just want the equal application of the law, for goodness’ sake. And frankly, we’d also like some transparency. We were just talking about this in the debt ceiling debate. But remember what happened here. In November they find classified documents at the Biden Center. In December they find them in his home in the garage. We learn about it January 9th but we only learned — the White House only tells us about the ones at the Biden Center. Why didn’t they tell us about the ones in his garage when they knew it at the time? So just be transparent with the American people and treat everyone the same. That’s all we’re asking for in this situation.”
