It’s safe to say that Hunter Biden isn’t likely to win any legitimate “father of the year” awards anytime soon, especially following a Friday report in the UK’s Daily Mail.
The outlet reported that Hunter “withdrew his daughter’s college savings to help fund a months-long drug and hooker binge – and still hasn’t paid the taxes on it, documents unearthed exclusively by” the news site revealed.
“The First Son’s profligacy was cast in sharp relief in papers from an IRS whistleblower who investigated him for tax crimes, released by Congress last month,” the outlet’s report continued.
According to his memoir, in late 2018, Hunter was in his “penultimate odyssey through full blown addiction.” At that time, he was cavorting in Connecticut hotels with hookers and blowing thousands more dollars on cocaine.
The outlet noted further:
His private bankers at Wells Fargo sent him an email on December 17, 2018 warning that he had just 44 cents left in his account, according to records obtained by DailyMail.com from his abandoned laptop.
Hunter responded with a jumbled reply, ordering them to transfer $20,000 from his daughter Maisy’s educational savings account.
He told the wealth managers: ‘liquidate what you can’ and ‘Live [love] you both.’
At that time as well, Maisy, who is now 22, was in her final year of high school. She and her two older sisters, along with Joe and Jill Biden, had attempted to stage an intervention a few weeks earlier at their Delaware home in a bid to get their son back into rehab, the Daily Mail added.

Hunter said he would go, but he wound up smoking crack in a hotel instead, he wrote in his 2021 memoir, “Beautiful Things.”
“Emails and messages from his laptop show money he took from Maisy’s educational savings account went in part to paying various suspected prostitutes who visited him at hotels in the following days, his Porsche 911 car loan, sex webcam subscription fees, and other personal expenses,” the Daily Mail added.
“Hunter’s assistant Katie Dodge plaintively emailed him on December 28 that year that he had University of Pennsylvania tuition bills of $27,945 due (likely for his eldest daughter, Naomi), a $1,700 payment for his Porsche, $4,244.70 for Maisy’s high school Sidwell Friends, her $3,000 paycheck and $1,000 for another employee,” the outlet continued.
“Hunter tersely told Dodge to pay for the Porsche and his health insurance, but that she would only be getting half her paycheck – and that he would ‘deal with tuitions when time comes,'” the report noted further.
Maisy, along with sisters Naomi, 29, and Finnegan, 23, went to the University of Pennsylvania.
Hunter reportedly told his uncle James in December 2018 via text message that he needed financial assistance from his father because he had run out of money.
In text messages obtained from an IRS whistleblower, the future vice president told James Biden that he couldn’t afford alimony, the Daily Mail reported separately.
On December 29, 2018, he sent a series of messages reading, “I can work when I’m in NYC all day every day for the next three months from 8-12. But I can’t afford alimony, tuition, or even basic living expenses without Dad’s help.
“Really it’s all gone. I can go make it up in 15/20 days I’m sure, but he’s basically made it clear that he’s not paying alimony b/c Mom made clear that she won’t do it,” Hunter added in a text.
After his marriage to Hallie Biden, his sister-in-law turned lover, ended, Hunter, talked about moving into his father’s Delaware mansion.
The text continues: “Hallie won’t allow me to be at the house or lend me or pay me back any money. Ashley moves into momoms house after I told dad that I would move in there. That night I tell dad I want to probably stay in the area and specifically I wanted to live by you and teach my course at Penn and maybe develop another on.”
In response, James Biden said: “This can work, you need a safe harbor. I can work with you father alone!! We as usual just need several months of his help for this to work. Let’s talk about it. It makes perfect sense to me. This is difficult to fully vet without talking. Will you please call me on w/A. We can develop a plan together. It can work. I’m going to try to call yo again please Ans.”
