Biden Blunders, Reveals Detail About Jimmy Carter He Should Not Have

President Joe Biden is no stranger to saying things he is not supposed to say, and he just made a massive blunder. He was speaking on Monday night when he accidentally gave a previously unknown detail about former President Jimmy Carter that he admitted he should not have said, Fox News reported.

“He asked me to do his eulogy – excuse me I shouldn’t say that,” the president said. “I spent time with Jimmy Carter and it’s finally caught up with him. But they found a way to keep him going for a lot longer than they anticipated because they found a breakthrough.”

The president inadvertently implied that the former president’s cancer had returned as he was discussing breakthroughs in cancer treatment to promote funding for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health.

The president introduced the program last year as an initiative that “will pursue ideas that break the mold on how we normally support fundamental research and commercial products in this country.”

He said it would go after “ideas so bold no one else, not even the private sector, is willing to give them a chance or to sink a lot of money into trying to solve.”

He also spoke about the state of democracy and the polarization of Americans, including liberals, when it comes to news.

“I think the American public has moved to a place where they’re genuinely worried about our democracy,” he said.

The president said that “people tune in to what they want to hear.”

“If you’re a moderate to liberal, you want to look at an MSNBC, that’s what you watch on cable, conservatives turn to Fox News,” he said.

But if that is the case there must be many more conservatives than he thought because Fox News is crushing the ratings.

Fox News hosts continue to not only beat out their cable news rivals but also dominate them in terms of ratings and viewers. On Friday, for example, a handful of Fox News hosts all brought in more total viewers than CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

“Anderson Cooper 360” brought in 535,000 total viewers on Friday night, according to Mediaite.

For comparison, Tucker Carlson brought in 3.289 million total viewers; Sean Hannity had 2.582 million; Laura Ingraham has 1.928 million; Jesse Watters brought in 2.634 million; and Bret Baier secured 2.284 million. All five Fox News hosts, who lead shows in different time slots, brought in at least four times the number of total viewers as Cooper.

Copper’s slumping ratings come as Lemon has apparently survived calls to have him fired after he made sexist remarks about GOP presidential contender Nikki Haley.

Network officials say he will eventually return to the airwaves to join fellow co-hosts Poppy Harlow and Kaitlin Collins after he undergoes “formal training” for sexism, The First TV reported.

“I sat down with Don and had a frank and meaningful conversation. He has agreed to participate in formal training, as well as continue to listen and learn. We take this situation very seriously. It is important to me that CNN balances accountability with fostering a culture in which people can own, learn and grow from their mistakes. To that end, Don will return to CNN This Morning on Wednesday,” CNN CEO Chris Licht told staff on Tuesday, the streaming network said.

Lemon criticized Haley on Thursday for endorsing “mandatory mental competency tests” for politicians who are 75 years or older, suggesting that Haley was no longer in her “prime.” Lemon referenced “Google” to support his contention that Haley, who is 51 years old, will face a difficult challenge in winning the presidency, as women are only considered to be in their prime during their “20s, 30s, and 40s.”

“I’m just saying what the facts are. Google it. Everybody at home, when is a woman in her prime, it says the 20s, 30s, and 40s,” he said to morning ho co-hosts Poppy Harlow and Kaitlin Collins. “And I’m just saying Nikki Haley should be careful about saying that politicians are not in their prime, and they need to be in their prime when they serve. Because she wouldn’t be in her prime according to Google or whatever it is.”

The report said that Harlow left the set “furious” for a bathroom break and was followed by Collins.

“Chris isn’t happy and he has spoken to Don a couple of times today,” a source told The Post. “Don knows it can’t happen again.”
