Conservative author and pundit Candace Owens has made her first public remarks about her departure from doing a podcast at The Daily Wire and falling out with Jewish site co-founder Ben Shapiro.

“The rumors are true—I am finally free,” she wrote Friday morning on X, encouraging followers to subscribe to her program. There will be many announcements in the weeks to come.”

During her last show for the Daily Wire, Owens hinted that significant changes were on the horizon. She mentioned that her upcoming trip to Israel would allow her to report on the nation’s war against Hamas more accurately since she would be able to see the situation firsthand.

“I am team God… I do not fear the media, I do not fear [the American Israel Public Affairs Committee],” she said.

“I think that one day we are all going to account for the things that we have done and things that we have said, and I want to make sure that I am not a person that is parroting lies. Fear of losing your job, of encouraging people to spit out lies? I don’t think that works in the end,” she said.

Shapiro, a devout Jew, has reportedly clashed with Owens over her criticisms of Jewish leaders, whom she accuses of being racial supremacists. Owens recently mentioned her relief after interviewing a prominent rabbi who openly stated that his race is “more important” than others.

“I think he views himself as better… or at least his race as more important, more significant, the history of his race as more significant… If you are honestly a supremacist, at least I can appreciate that,” she said.

Owens recently tore into singer Taylor Swift, calling her “the most toxic feminist” during an event hosted on Daily Wire+.

“If you’ve seen what she’s ever done in business and how she tries to manipulate her audiences to get out of deals and contracts, she’s insane,” Owens said.

“She’s the most toxic feminist that’s ever existed,” Owens added.

Owens criticized Swift for penning songs about her breakups, calling them “psychotic.” She even claimed Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce was a “business move.”

Owens also called out Swift’s prior comments regarding “Girls” star Lena Dunham.

“She literally said, ‘Lena Dunham taught me feminism, which basically means that you can get whatever you want as long as you’re able to sell to people that you’re a victim because you’re a woman. And she has done it to the tune of a billion dollars,” Owens said.

Swift could potentially find herself at the center of the 2024 presidential election.

Biden seeks to reinvigorate his campaign with new, young energy amidst historic low disapproval ratings.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump continues to gain traction in the Republican primaries. As such, to give his re-election bid a “fresh feel,” Biden’s team is exploring potential endorsements from prominent figures, including celebrities.

One name that has come up is Swift, one of the nation’s biggest stars and holds the record for the first artist to see a tour grossing over $1 billion, with 4.35 million tickets sold across 60 tour dates in 2023.

Biden’s team is worried about voting blocs that are trending away from him, including young, black, and Latino voters.

In 2020, Biden won young voters by 20 percentage points, but he is now tied with Trump among this demographic.

This is due, in part, to concerns over Biden’s age, his stance on Israel, and the state of the economy. Democratic allies and lawmakers are worried about Biden’s chances of winning these voters over and securing a second term.

“To reach young voters, Biden’s campaign has focused heavily on social media, using videos from influencers and even those with a niche following to promote its message. The president recently visited the home of a man who had his federal loans canceled through Biden’s program, a focal point of Biden’s reelection campaign. The man’s son posted a video of Biden’s visit on TikTok, drawing millions of views,” the Washington Examiner reported.
