No matter what New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does, or gets caught doing, she manages to make herself the victim.

On New Year’s Eve the 32-year-old representative accused Republicans of attacking her because they have “deranged sexual frustrations” and need “therapy.”

“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos,” she said in response to a tweet from former advisor to President Donald Trump, Steve Cortes.

“It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women,& LGBT+ people in general. These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird,” she said.

Cortes’ tweet must have set her off in a major way, and it was a good one.

“1. If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL. 2. Her guy is showing his gross pale male feet in public (not at a pool/beach) with hideous sandals. O for 2…,” he said.

But the fact is that Cortes was not the only one furious with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez for leaving New York during a crisis after she criticized Sen. Ted Cruz for the same thing last year.

The 32-year-old representative was caught in Miami on Thursday as cases of coronavirus reached a record high in New York, The National Review reported.

Photos obtained by National Review show Ocasio-Cortez seated outside Doraku Sushi and Izakaya in Miami Beach Thursday afternoon, raising a cocktail in one and checking her phone in another.

Ocasio-Cortez’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

The Florida outing comes as New York City reported a record number of new, confirmed cases of Covid-19 (almost 44,000). Ocasio-Cortez represents New York’s 14th congressional district, which covers parts of the Bronx and Queens.

Back in February, when Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas) drew fire for taking a trip to Cancun, Mexico, during a winter disaster in Texas that left millions without power or water, Ocasio-Cortez joined the pile on.

“If Sen. Cruz had resigned back in January after helping gin up a violent insurrection that killed several people, he could’ve taken his vacation in peace,” she said on Twitter. “Texans should continue to demand his resignation.”

Weeks after that tweet, at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Sen. Cruz took some swipes at Rep. Cortez, which drew her ire.

“I don’t care what Cruz said at CPAC, but I do care that it appears Texas was just a layover stop for him between Cancun and Orlando to drop a pack of water into someone’s trunk and abandon his constituents again as they get slammed with $16,000 electrical bills,” she said in a tweet attacking him for leaving his state during an emergency.

Months later she was still continuing to attack Sen. Cruz for the trip.

.@AOC explains the real Dem position: abolish ICE. Full open borders. Which would make the #BidenBorderCrisis even worse. She says nothing else works. Really? Last year, we had the lowest illegal immigration IN 45 YEARS. This year, we have the highest in 20 years, Sen. Cruz said in a tweet which caught the attention of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.

“Ted, this is pretty rich coming from someone who fled their own home (and responsibilities) during an environmental crisis to cross the border and seek refuge in Mexico. Also you funded cages, expanded cages, and yet you’re complaining about cages. You have no policy, just puff,” she said.

“Maybe Mexico shouldn’t let YOU in the next time you try to run away from your job to sip umbrella drinks in Cancún,” she said.
