Dem Leader Jeffries Shredded For ‘Election Denier’ Comment To House GOP

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries got a brutal fact-check after he insinuated during a speech on in the chamber floor following Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) election that only Republicans were “election deniers.”

“Two months ago, the American people elected Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States of America,” Jeffries said.

Republicans in the chamber applauded Jeffries before he continued.

“Thank you for that very generous applause,” a smiling Jeffries said. “It’s OK. There are no election deniers on our side of the aisle.”

After applause from Democrats, Jeffries added:  “One should love America when you win and when you lose. That’s the patriotic thing to do, and that’s the America that House Democrats will fight hard to preserve because we love this country.”

But as a video clip of Jeffries’ remarks went viral on social media, several users chimed in to drop a brutal reminder on the Democratic leader for remarks he and dozens of other Democrats made following Donald Trump’s first election victory in 2016 over Hillary Clinton.

“This you?” the Libs of TikTok account posted along with a screenshot of a tweet from roughly a year after Trump’s election where Jeffries questioned the legitimacy of the 45th president’s victory.

“The more we learn about 2016 election the more ILLEGITIMATE it becomes. America deserves to know whether we have a FAKE President in the Oval Office,” he tweeted in 2018.

He referenced a Washington Post report detailing then-Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein’s indictment of 13 Russians allegedly involved in a troll farm operation that spread propaganda on social media during the 2016 election.

That same article, however, reported: “The indictment does not accuse the Russian government of involvement in the scheme, nor does it claim that it succeeded in swaying any votes.”

There’s also a long list of Democratic presidential candidates, senators, and representatives who have questioned the outcomes of the 2000, 2004, and 2016 elections. As Libs of TikTok pointed out in a 24-minute compilation, this includes numerous instances of Hillary Clinton repeatedly claiming—without any evidence that has emerged over the past eight years—that Donald Trump and the Russians thwarted her path to the Oval Office.

Several Republicans did question the outcome of the 2020 election, whereby Trump lost to Joe Biden after the latter reportedly received some 81 million votes and despite Trump winning 18 of 19 bellwether counties after receiving millions more votes himself than he did in 2016.

More than anything, however, they questioned how several of the swing states, which Democrats led, could change the way citizens voted using the COVID pandemic as the excuse, in violation of existing state voting laws and without getting the procedures changed via the legislatures, as the Constitution requires.

Trump resoundingly won the 2024 election, however, garnering 312 electoral votes and a majority of the popular vote, giving Democrats no leeway to complain about election fraud or manipulation.

That said, the party has turned on itself, blaming Harris for blowing through close to $1.5 billion dollars during her short campaign, only to lose in such a significant manner. The loss has led some Dem strategists to call for her to abstain from another presidential campaign after losing big to Trump and being the first Democrat to drop out of the 2020 race after failing to win delegates.
