The trial between actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has garnered the attention of the world, and former President Donald Trump is now one of the many people who have weighed in on it.

“Has anybody been watching the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial? What a lovely couple! First of all, Johnny sued her for writing an article in a tiny ‘outlet,’ that practically nobody read, because he didn’t want to get bad publicity. How did that work out?” he said on his Truth Social platform.

“She countersued for $100 million. The charges are many & salacious, the nicest of which is that she threw a bottle at him and it took off his finger – She must have a Sandy Koufax type arm. Will they get back together and live happily in PEACE?” he said.

Depp is suing Heard for defamation because of an op-ed she penned for The Washington Post in which she called herself a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”

Heard is countersuing for $100 million saying that she was the victim of defamation by Depp’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, because he said her accusations were a hoax.

Heard’s legal team showed photos of red marks on her face and claimed that she was good at hiding bruises because of her skill in using makeup.

Depp said in his testimony that he never hit Heard and that he was the victim of her abuse.

“’It could begin with a slap, it could begin with a shove, it could begin with throwing a TV remote at my head, throwing a glass of wine in my face,” he said in his testimony.

He said that during an incident in 2015 when they were in Australia for the filming of the fifth “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie that Heard was furious about a postnuptial agreement and flung a bottle of vodka that shattered and injured Depp’s hand.

“The tip of my finger had been severed and I was looking directly at my bone sticking out,” he said.

Heard claimed that it was during that fight that she became the victim of a sexual assault.

Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez, asked Heard why she did not seek any medical attention after the alleged assault after she said her own feet were cut by the broken glass.

“You’re the one who assaulted someone with a bottle in Australia, isn’t that right, Ms. Heard?” the attorney said.

“I didn’t assault Johnny in Australia. I didn’t assault Johnny ever,” the actress said.

An audio clip played for the court on Monday has revealed why actor Johnny Depp has refused to look into the eyes of ex-wife Amber Heard for the duration of the explosive defamation trial thus far.

According to the clip, Depp won’t look directly at Heard because he is honoring a pledge he made following the actress’s filing for divorce and obtaining a temporary restraining order against him following a claim of domestic violence.

Depp’s $50 million lawsuit comes in response to an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post about domestic violence, which he says has significantly impacted his career in a negative manner.

“You will not see my eyes again,” Depp pledged to Heard during a 2016 meeting, which was the last time the couple spoke to one another in person, the Daily Wire reported.

“He won’t look at you, right?” Depp attorney Camille Vasquez asked Heard during the first hour of cross-examination this week.

“You know exactly why Mr. Depp won’t look at you,” Vasquez pressed. “He promised you he would never see your eyes again, is that true?”

“I don’t recall that,” Heard said in response, ahead of Depp’s legal team playing the 2016 audio clip for the court.

“Please, I just want to hug you and say bye,” Heard begs Depp in the audio clip.

“I am nothing to you, and I will always be nothing to you,” said the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor. “You will not see my eyes again.”
