The U.S. Department of Justice will not charge a George Soros-backed attorney after an investigation found her guilty of election interference and lying under oath.

Rachael Rollins, U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, resigned from her office last week after the DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General found evidence that she lied to investigators about her efforts to reportedly influence an election.

The OIG referred criminal charges to the DOJ, but the Justice Department declined to charge her, according to The Messenger.

The report states that “on December 16, 2022, pursuant to the Inspector General Act, 5 U.S.C. § 404(d), the OIG referred the false statements allegation to the Department for a prosecutive decision.”

“We found Rollins’s conduct described throughout this report violated federal regulations, numerous DOJ policies, her Ethics Agreement, and applicable law, and fell far short of the standards of professionalism and judgment that the Department should expect of any employee, much less a U.S. Attorney,” the DOJ said in its report.

The investigation found that Rollins lied under oath to investigators during the investigation into whether she had tried to influence an election for district attorney last year in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

“According to the report, Rollins provided derogatory information about District Attorney Kevin Hayden to Boston Globe and Boston Herald with the hope that it would help Boston City Councilman Ricardo Arroyo in the Democratic primary for Suffolk’s district attorney in Sept. 2022. The OIG said Rollins was able to acquire the non-public and sensitive information as a result of her federal position,” The Post Millennial reported.

Arkansas GOP Sen. Tom Cotton, who opposed Rollins’s appointment by President Joe Biden, slammed Democrats for their 2021 confirmation votes, saying Democrats “ignored … red flags” in Rollins’s record.

“She thought the rules didn’t apply to her enforcement as a weapon against anyone who questioned her, and any criticism of her record was racist,” Cotton said.
