Donald Trump Jr. addressed rumors on Wednesday regarding his relationship with fiancée and former Fox News contributor Kimberly Guilfoyle, who President-elect Donald Trump has named to be his ambassador to Greece.

Speculation about the couple, engaged since 2020, began swirling when they were no longer seen together following photos of Don Jr. dining with another woman—a moment Guilfoyle admitted left her feeling “blindsided.”

Although sources suggest they have privately canceled their marriage plans, the two have maintained public appearances, including during Don Jr.’s surprise visit to the Balkans in September to advocate for ending the war in Ukraine.

Now living in Athens, Guilfoyle will serve as the Trump-Vance administration’s liaison to Greece, a historically friendly nation—a development Don Jr. reportedly welcomes.

“I am so proud of Kimberly. She loves America and she always has wanted to serve the country as an Ambassador. She will be an amazing leader for America First,” he told the Daily Mail.

Earlier this fall, the eldest of the president-elect’s children was seen dining with Bettina Anderson, 38, which led to a fallout with Guilfoyle.

A source told to the outlet: “There is no more Kimberly and Don – at least not romantically. Their engagement hasn’t officially been called off yet. They were waiting until after the Inauguration to announce.”

Photos from the lunch date captured the pair sharing kisses inside the upscale Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach. Anderson, a model, influencer, and philanthropist, has been dubbed the “it girl” by Palm Beach insiders buzzing about the budding relationship.

Guilfoyle, 55, has long been a fixture of Palm Beach society and is known for her charitable contributions to the community. Her late father, Harry Loy Anderson Jr., who passed away in 2013, was the youngest president of the city’s Worth Avenue National Bank.

Her mother, Inger, 74, currently resides in a luxurious $11.5 million mansion in the area, while Guilfoyle lives in a more modest $860,000 home in West Palm Beach.

On their six-year anniversary, Don Jr. publicly praised his fiancée, showering her with admiration, the outlet said.

“Happy 6 year anniversary @kimberlyguilfoyle thanks for always being there no matter what the haters are throwing our way. I love you,” he wrote on social media four months before he was seen with Anderson.

While some might view the appointment to Greece as a potential consolation prize following the end of her relationship with his son, President-elect Trump enthusiastically praised Guilfoyle’s ambassadorship in a post on Truth Social.

“Her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics along with her sharp intellect make her supremely qualified to represent the United States, and safeguard its interests abroad,” Trump said Tuesday.

“Kimberly is perfectly suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece, advancing our interests on issues ranging from defense cooperation to trade and economic innovation,” he added.

Before entering the Trump family’s inner circle, Guilfoyle worked as a prosecutor in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She later became a regular contributor on Fox News prior to meeting Don Jr. A source close to the president-elect characterized the prestigious appointment as more than just a routine international posting.

“There were a ton of people vying for this. It is one of the hottest posts in the world,” said a source to the Daily Mail. “Not just because it’s an amazing place to live, but because it’s a hotbed of activity with everything that is happening in Syria, throughout the Middle East, and the migrant crisis.”

Don Jr.’s comments come as FBI Director Christopher Wray announced he would be resigning is post, likely ahead of the president-elect’s inauguration. His decision to step down follows Trump’s public statements that he would appoint former federal prosecutor and national security expert Kash Patel to the post.
