The husband of Democrat presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, Doug Emhoff, did not deny allegations that he struck an ex-girlfriend.

He brushed off the question during an interview on MSNBC as a “distraction” but did not say he was not guilty.

“[Trump’s] spreading it about you, saying that tabloid stories about your personal life. He’s saying it should be front and center. He’s saying it about your wife and making incredibly crude and lewd suggestions about her past life. I’m just curious, I know I seem like a very zen, mindful person, but I think I’d be pissed off, and I’m just wondering, how do you all stay centered, how do you stay disciplined and not really go off and not really push back hard at these things?” MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough said.

“We don’t have time to be p***ed off,” the vice president’s husband said. “We don’t have time to focus on it. It’s all a distraction. It’s designed to try to get us off our game.”

“Does it get you off your game?” the host responded.

“No. All we are doing – all we talk about – is this election,” Emhoff said.

“We understand the stakes, we understand the responsibility,” he added. “Our very country, our future – what kind of future are we going to have, who would you like picking the next three Supreme Court justices? The guy who picked the three who overturned Roe v. Wade and want to take away more freedom?”

A spokesperson for Emhoff previously called the allegations that he struck a woman “untrue.”

But that is not the only tabloid issue that has haunted him, as in August it was reported that he had an affair with his nanny during his first marriage.

Emhoff admitted to a salacious affair with his kid’s nanny during his first marriage, The Daily Mail, which broke the story, reported.

“During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions. I took responsibility, and in the years since we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side,” the second gentleman said to CNN.

The woman, who Conservative Brief is not naming, was approached by The Daily Mail and did not deny the story.

The only comment she made when confronted by the reporters at her home in the Hamptons was “I’m kind of freaked out right now.”

“A close friend with direct knowledge of the affair and pregnancy told DailyMail.com that Naylor did not keep the child – though her social media shows a video of a mysterious baby girl named Brook in 2009, the year the baby would have been born,” The Mail reported.

“Another friend who mothered twin boys around the same time as Naylor was expecting, also did not deny any of the claims – but said she would not divulge further information without Naylor’s permission,” it said.

“The incendiary news is said to be causing panic in Harris’s campaign, just as she has overtaken Donald Trump in several polls and as she ramps up her final push to win over voters in November,” it said.

Emhoff’s first wife, Kerstin Emhoff , spoke to CNN in support of her ex-husband and his current wife.

“Doug and I decided to end our marriage for a variety of reasons, many years ago. He is a great father to our kids, continues to be a great friend to me and I am really proud of the warm and supportive blended family Doug, Kamala, and I have built together,” she said.

After video surfaced of the Republican nominee for vice president and Ohio Sen. JD Vance criticizing Harris for not having her own kids, Kerstin Emhoff again defended Harris and said she is “loving, nurturing, fiercely protective, and always present.”

“These are baseless attacks. For over 10 years, since Cole and Ella were teenagers, Kamala has been a co-parent with Doug and I,” she said to CNN in July.
