Twitter CEO Elon Musk asked users on the social media platform if he should step down from leading the company. Musk shared a poll to his Twitter account Sunday night asking his users if he should leave his position as head of the social media platform.
“Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll,” Musk wrote.
The poll ended on Monday morning after 24 hours since it was published. Over 17 million users voted in the poll, which found that a majority of people said they believed Musk should step down as head of the social media company.

The poll from Musk comes after he triggered liberals on Sunday and he did not have to say a word to do it.
The CEO was spotted making a surprise appearance at the World Cup final and he was spotted with former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
And he was busy sharing videos of the event on his platform during the game.

Famed free speech warrior and centrist, Elon Musk, hanging out with Jared Kushner at the World Cup, as Twitter announces a HUGE social media crackdown.
It is now against the rules to link out to your FB, Instagram, Truth Social, and even giving people your Linktree.

It comes after Musk decided to bring back journalists he suspended for reporting on the flight information of his private jet.
It was this week when Musk said that the suspended accounts had violated the Twitter Terms of Service by sharing the information.
The CEO shared a poll on Twitter asking f the suspended journalists should be reinstated “now” or “in seven days” and with 58.7 percent of those who responded answering that the accounts should be reinstated immediately he decided to honor it.
“The people have spoken. Accounts who doxxed my location will have their suspension lifted now,” he said.

Elon Musk made many liberals furious after he decided to suspend some liberal journalists for violating the rules of the platform. The Twitter CEO explained his reasoning for the high-profile suspensions after they began to trend on his platform.
“Criticizing me all day long is totally fine, but doxxing my real-time location and endangering my family is not,” he said on Twitter.
“Accounts engaged in doxxing receive a temporary 7 day suspension,” he said.

“If anyone posted real-time locations & addresses of NYT reporters, FBI would be investigating, there’d be hearings on Capitol Hill & Biden would give speeches about end of democracy!” he said in another tweet.

“The accounts belonging to CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, The New York Times’ Ryan Mac, The Washington Post’s Drew Harwell, and other journalists who have covered Musk aggressively in recent weeks were all abruptly permanently suspended. The account of progressive independent journalist Aaron Rupar was also banned,” CNN reported.
A spokesperson for CNN said the company has asked for an explanation, and would “reevaluate our relationship based on that response.”
“The impulsive and unjustified suspension of a number of reporters, including CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, is concerning but not surprising. Twitter’s increasing instability and volatility should be of incredible concern for everyone who uses Twitter,” they said.
A New York Times spokesperson said that the suspensions were “questionable and unfortunate.”
“Neither The Times nor Ryan have received any explanation about why this occurred. We hope that all of the journalists’ accounts are reinstated and that Twitter provides a satisfying explanation for this action,” they said.
But the meltdown by some leftists on Twitter caught the attention of conservatives who believe they had been unfairly targeted since Twitter was started.
“It’s no departure from the principle of free speech to cheer the suspensions of Aaron Rupar and Keith Olbermann. Why? Because these rabid advocates of censorship only learn when they get a taste of it themselves. They are like bullies who back off when their own feet get stomped,” Dinesh D’Souza said.

“No one is a free speech absolutist. The issue is what restrictions are reasonable. Banning people for ‘misinformation’ or even ‘hate’ is not. Suspensions for revealing the real-time locations of public figures is. Twitter has gone from unreasonable suspensions to reasonable ones,” he said.

“Lol the same people who chanted ‘Twitter is a private company!’ for years and years are now literally calling for a congressional investigation into Twitter suspensions. These people just have no shame at all. It’s amazing to behold,” Matt Walsh said.

Ben Shapiro said he was against the suspensions because the flight information was available for anyone to see. Still, he said that the people who are furious are those “who spent years literally shouting ‘speech is violence’ and calling for bans don’t have a leg to stand on right now. Watching them meltdown after experiencing what their opponents experienced for years while they cheered is indeed schadenfreude.
“So, in short, I’m against the Twitter suspensions, even for garbage pseudo reporters like Rupar, at least based on posting links to publicly available flight info. At the same time, their caterwauling now is hilarious given their enthusiasm for opaque Twitter censorship,” he said.

“So, what’s basically happened is that just over the past hour or so, as the number of journalists at national news outlets, including the New York Times, Washington Post, and here at CNN, have been permanently banned it seems, suspended from Twitter. Now, all those journalists, including myself, happen to be people who cover Elon Musk. This is Elon Musk, of course, the free speech activist,” CNN reporter Donie O’Sullivan said when he spoke to Anderson Cooper on Thursday.
