A Republican lawmaker dropped a bombshell during a Fox News interview Thursday evening amid an announcement from former President Donald Trump that the Justice Department planned to indict him on charges related to his possession of classified information.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), a member of the House Oversight Committee, took to Twitter Tuesday with a warning, writing, “The FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family.”

She posted the tweet amid the ongoing dispute between the FBI and the Oversight Committee regarding the handling of an FD-1023 form, which contains allegations of President Joe Biden’s participation in a criminal bribery scheme during his tenure as vice president. Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) has maintained that the FBI had informed him that the document was associated with an ongoing investigation.

Luna followed up her tweet and filled in some blanks during an interview with Fox News’ Jesse Watters.

“Not only does that tell me that the FBI is not even competent within themselves to protect a witness, but also too, I mean, the evidence that they have — that they had previous to 2020 — is so good that they do believe that this person has a credible fear for their life. So, it’s very alarming,” she said.

After Watters asked why the FBI would not protect the source, Luna responded: “You know, that’s a question that we asked ourselves.”

She then elaborated: “The FBI has moles within the FBI that are actively leaking information to the Biden family, specifically Hunter Biden. You know, it was brought to our attention that there was, I guess, a mole within the FBI by the name of ‘One-Eye’ that was updating Hunter on what was currently taking place.

“So it’s in my opinion that the FBI: one, is definitely not something that we trust as House oversight; but also, two, that they have an issue within their own institutions with accountability and leaks,” she continued.

The allegations regarding “One-Eye” originate from reporting by Miranda Devine, a columnist at the New York Post, in regards to Hunter Biden.

Earlier this year, Dr. Gal Luft, a former lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces, asserted that he possessed information about “One-Eye” before his arrest in Cyprus on charges related to gunrunning. Luft has denied these accusations, but a recent report indicates that he has skipped bail while awaiting extradition to the United States.

Luft alleges that his arrest was politically motivated by the Department of Justice, aimed at suppressing his revelations about his knowledge of the Bidens. He said he obtained information from Hunter Biden’s Chinese business associates, Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming, suggesting that they had made payments to the Biden family in exchange for access to information related to “One-Eye.” Luft also said that that he learned about the FBI’s investigation into Ho and Ye.

Per the NY Post:

“One-Eye” told Ye that the Southern District of New York was investigating him and/or Ho in late 2017, and that “an Asian, an African, and a Jewish guy” were named on a sealed indictment, says Henoch.

Soon after that tipoff, Ye offered Hunter $1 million to be his “private counsel” and flew to China, leaving his wife, daughter, son, mother, and nanny in his $50 million penthouse at 15 Central Park West.

He was detained in Shanghai three months later and disappeared.

Luft said he and his attorney met at the U.S. Embassy in Brussels in 2019 with four FBI officials and two DOJ prosecutors to share information about the alleged arrangement. However, he said he never heard from them again until his arrest.

Luft contends that his detainment was orchestrated as a cover-up to shield the Bidens from the information he possesses. He justified his decision to skip bail and escape Cyprus: “The chances of me getting a fair trial in Washington are virtually zero.”
