Two members of Congress’ far-left “Squad” hollered at embattled New York Republican Rep. George Santos on Wednesday as he tried to speak at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol Building.

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman, both of who are also part of New York’s congressional delegation, shouted at Santos to “resign.”

Santos recently only narrowly avoided being expelled from the House for a series of lies he told while on the campaign trail last fall.

“Get him out. He gotta go,” Bowman shouted, as he could be seen laughing with his Democratic colleague, who also shouted, “Resign, bro!”

“Resign. Save yourself. Have some dignity,” Bowman yelled again, according to the Washington Examiner. “New Yorkers need better.”

The Examiner noted further:

The House voted 221-204 to refer the matter of Santos’s expulsion to the Ethics Committee for a thorough investigation on Wednesday, a week after Santos was charged and pleaded not guilty to a 13-count criminal indictment from the Justice Department.

Santos left the gaggle of reporters, saying, “Have a great day.” Bowman shouted at him as he left.

Following the vote, Bowman also had a heated exchange with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who has stood by Santos throughout his ordeal.

Greene repeatedly said, “Biden is a criminal,” as Bowman exchanged words with her.

“Your party is hanging by a thread,” Bowman claimed.

Green replied, “Nah, we gotta get rid of Biden. We gotta save the country.”

“Impeach Biden! Impeach Biden!” she added.

True to her word, Greene introduced articles of impeachment against Biden on Thursday.

Meanwhile, another GOP lawmaker has introduced a measure to expel Rep. Adam Schiff from the House of Representatives after special counsel John Durham’s report revealed he repeatedly lied about “collusion” between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.

Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida introduced the resolution late Wednesday, according to reports, as calls began mounting to boot him from the chamber.

For years, Schiff repeatedly lied to the country claiming he had “evidence” of said collusion while also launching needless “investigations” into the allegation.

“Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” Luna said. “He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman.

“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives. The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she added.

In response, Schiff tweeted: “BREAKING NEWS: A MAGA Republican Member of Congress just filed a motion to expel me from the U.S. House of Representatives. I stood up to Donald Trump and held extreme MAGA forces accountable. Now they want payback. They’ll go after anyone who defends the rule of law.”

In a 300-plus page report that became public on Monday following a four-year investigation, Durham cited the FBI and the Justice Department for launching a bogus investigation into the 2016 campaign of then-GOP nominee Donald Trump without justification. His report also noted that the campaign of Hillary Clinton was heavily involved in creating the false narrative that Trump’s campaign was “colluding” with Russia to interfere in the election.

On Tuesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) responded to Durham’s report, in part, by suggesting Schiff be removed from the House.

Throughout Trump’s presidency, Schiff frequently touted the collusion claim — during congressional proceedings and on various cable news outlets — but Durham’s findings completely refuted it.

“It raises the question about Adam Schiff,” McCarthy said on Tuesday. “Remember when Adam told the American public he had proof? Remember when he said he didn’t know the whistleblower?

“What he put America through when he openly lied to us,” McCarthy said. “It raises questions about his character and whether he should be in Congress.”
