Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said people are tired of “human sh*t” on their porches after a video went viral last week of a man spraying a homeless woman with a water hose in San Francisco, California.
During a segment on the popular Fox News program “The Five,” the panel discussed a video that went viral on social media last week showing an antique dealer spraying a woman with a water hose outside of his business. A bystander caught part of the incident on video and uploaded it to social media, which generated a lot of attention.
“I started recording the guy, and this guy is, like, pouring water on plants, and then I saw the lady like this, and I was, like, ‘Oh no, that’s a lady,’” the man who recorded the video said.

The conversation on “The Five” then turned into the co-hosts discussing homelessness nationwide, which led to Gutfeld saying he has been a longtime advocate for “autonomous” areas where people can engage in vagrancy.
“I would support this, it’s what I have been talking about for a while, an autonomous zone for people who wish to be homeless,” he said. “This is where you can go and practice this experimental lifestyle. And if you are back in the city panhandling, we will take you back there. Or we will get you help. But you are going to go back to that place because that’s where it is legal.”
Co-host Geraldo Rivera asked Gutfeld: “What do you think of that lady squirting the hose on the homeless lady?”
Gutfeld responded, “I think everybody is at the edge of their frustration. You can say, ‘My gosh, that’s heartless.’ Well, maybe that person gets up every day and sees human shit on his front door.”

“A San Francisco antiques dealer whose clientele includes big-shot businesspeople, actors, and athletes was seen in a viral social media video spraying a homeless woman with a water hose. The disturbing incident was captured on cellphone video by Edson Garcia, the owner of Brioche Bakery & Cafe. It showed the man, identified as business owner Collier Gwin, dousing the woman and demanding that she move,” NBC News reported.
“I started recording the guy, and this guy is, like, pouring water on plants, and then I saw the lady like this, and I was, like, ‘Oh no, that’s a lady,'” Garcia told NBC Bay Area.
Gwin, the owner of Foster Gwin Gallery, said the woman that he sprayed with the hose is known in the area and that in the past, he had to call law enforcement and social services when the woman became disruptive.
“There’s absolutely nothing that can be done. They’ll take her to a shelter, and they will turn her out in two days,” he said. “They will take her to the hospital. They will release her within a day.”
“That lady doesn’t go inside the business. She sleeps on the street,” he added while speaking to the media about the viral incident and what has unfolded in the aftermath.
“San Francisco is in a homelessness crisis, which has long frustrated residents and business owners. On Monday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom pledged $750 million to clear the state’s homeless encampments, SFGATE reported part of a larger $15.3 billion package that would be used to address the crisis,” NBC News reported.
“Newsom’s mission to clear the encampments has been a hot-button issue. Last year, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area and others filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of the Coalition on Homelessness and seven people who were at risk of being unhoused. The suit alleged that sweeping the encampments violated multiple constitutional rights. A judge ruled in favor of the group and temporarily banned the city from clearing camps until it was able to provide enough beds at homeless shelters,” the outlet added in its report.
