Fox News host Harris Faulkner stopped a Democratic guest from diverting the conversation away from the response of the Biden-Harris administration to Hurricane Helene when he tried to blame former President Donald Trump.

After Hurricane Helene ripped through the Southeast, killing 227 people, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has lately taken heat for its relief operations. Faulkner interrupted former New York Democratic state senator David Carlucci as he tried to change the subject to Israeli actions against terrorist organizations in the Middle East.

“Well, right now it doesn’t matter if it’s a storm brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, evil forces taking root in the Middle East…” Carlucci said before Faulkner cut in, saying, “No, no, no, let’s stay focused. We’re talking about Biden and Harris’ response to Hurricane Helene.”

“And a house divided cannot stand, and that’s where we have to work together as a nation, not as a political party and the criticism is on all sides,” Carlucci claimed, prompting Faulkner to ask, “Why is it on the Republicans? The former president went there, he got there before anybody in your party.”

Carlucci asserted that Trump was highlighting and describing the issues, but he also said that Trump should correct purported false information on the relief operations.

Faulkner informed Carlucci that Trump had made a relief supply visit to Valdosta, Georgia, on September 30.

“Donald Trump has a lot of responsibility there, he has a big microphone, a lot of people listen to him, he has a responsibility to do the right thing,” Carlucci claimed. “What I’m saying is we all play a part in this.”

“Do you think his microphone is bigger than the president’s who is currently in the White House?” Faulkner asked. “Because Trump is using his and Biden wasn’t using his, and that’s my point…”

Carlucci claimed that Biden was currently answering questions about relief efforts in the aftermath of Helene.

“Thirteen days later,” Faulkner responded.

“Well, actually, on I believe it was October 4th, Biden made a surprise appearance in the press room. Remember this, at the White House. Total surprise, answering questions, he was not asked one question about Helene. Four days ago and said nothing about it. Was not prompted for it and didn’t offer it. It was as though it had not occurred,” Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce said. “So, the first time they get this guy in the room he seemed connected, was answering certain questions, and it was a surprise.”

Carlucci claimed that again, it was a case of Trump “articulating the problems” and also claiming that governors in the affected states said FEMA was providing what was needed.

“Are you aware of what the president said a few days ago, that people were happy?” Faulkner asked.

Carlucci then tried to claim that the remarks were taken out of context.

“No, it absolutely is not taken out of context,” Faulkner responded as Carlucci claimed Biden had been asked about “nasty responses.”

“He was on the tarmac, he was asked about the response to Hurricane Helene, he was like, ‘Oh, I thought you were talking about a different storm,’” Faulkner said. “Milton wasn’t even on the map yet.”
