The campaign of former President Donald Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for appearing to rush through a visit to the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters in the wake of Hurricane Helene’s devastation.

The Trump campaign posted video clips of Harris’ visit, which the campaign said lasted about five minutes before she “bolted” the agency without taking any questions from the media.

“Kamala, who just returned from her San Francisco fundraisers, reads directly from a pre-written script as she tells Hurricane Helene victims they have her ‘support,'” the Trump War Room account on X noted in a post containing a short clip of Harris.

“After returning from her glitzy fundraisers in San Francisco, Kamala Harris showed up to the FEMA headquarters, spent less than five minutes reading off a script about hurricane relief, and then bolted before the press could ask her questions,” the Trump campaign noted further in a separate post.

The “Insurrection Barbie” account posted a clip of reporters attempting to ask Harris questions but the vice president refused to answer or engage with them. “Imagine voting for this,” the post noted.

Several X users made their disdain for her actions clear.

Meanwhile, other X users noted the contrast with former President Donald Trump, who actually traveled to some of the hardest-hit regions of the country following Helene and engaged with citizens there.

Trump visited storm-ravaged areas on Monday and launched a $1 million GoFundMe campaign to assist storm victims.

“With so many across the Southeastern U.S. facing challenges after the storm, President Trump is on the ground in communities to see the aftermath firsthand,” the page states. “All donations will be directed to help those most affected by Hurricane Helene. Any level of generosity will go a long way for your fellow Americans who are suffering.”

Donors included former U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., who gave $500,000. Bass Pro Shop, known for its chain of wilderness-themed stores and wide array of hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear, gave $100,000, Fox News reported. The outlet added that one donor named Dana White—presumably the CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship who’s a close friend of Trump’s—also gave $100,000.

“Hedge fund billionaire William Ackman also pledged $100,000. Other donors included Kid Rock, U.S. Sen. Senator John Barrasso, R-Wy., and personal injury attorney Dan Newlin,” the outlet noted further.
