House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy introduced legislation to support Iranian protesters and it was blocked by House Democrats blocked, the Washington Times reported.
They blocked a resolution earlier this year that says that the United States stands with those protesting for freedom from dictators.
That is how far the Democrat Party has come towards the camp of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley.
“What a disappointment — Democrats just blocked a vote on a resolution supporting the Iranian protesters,” Rep. McCarthy said.
“This is not the time for partisan politics. This should be a time for the U.S. Congress to speak with one voice to condemn an Iranian regime that kills its own people,” he said.
The votes came after the United States, on orders from President Donald Trump, killed terrorist Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Democrats were furious after the president had the general, who is responsible for hundreds of American troops’ deaths and injuries, killed.
“Since he got into office, the president of the United States has been goading Iran into war,” Minnesota Rep. Omar said at a press conference after the strike on Soleimani.
“First he canceled our best shot at avoiding armed conflict – the Iran nuclear deal. Then he announced crippling sanctions to starve the innocent people of Iran,” she said.
“This makes no sense. Sanctions are economic warfare. They have already caused medical shortages and countless deaths in Iran. You cannot claim to want de-escalation and then announce new sanctions with no clear goal. This is not a measured response!” Omar said.
Keep in mind that this is the same woman that supports the BDS movement against our Israel, our ally in the Middle East.
Not only does she not want the United States to use its military against the number one state sponsor of terror in the world, but she also does not want us to use sanctions either.
She was not the only one to attack President Trump for protecting Americans. She was joined by her squad, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
“This is a war crime,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said in response to the president’s statement that he had 52 targets picked to strike in Iran.
“Threatening to target and kill innocent families, women and children — which is what you’re doing by targeting cultural sites – does not make you a ‘tough guy,’ It does not make you ‘strategic.’ It makes you a monster,” she said.
“You are threatening to commit war crimes. We are not at war with Iran. The American people do not want a war with Iran. This is a democracy. You do not get to start a war with Iran, and your threats put our troops and diplomats at greater risk. Stop,” Warren said.
The Democrats have proven that they side with terrorist dictators and we have to make certain they never get any more power than they have.
