Rep. Jim Jordan has revealed some stunning new details about the FBI’s raid last August on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in a search for classified documents.

The new revelations come on the heels of an indictment of the former president on Thursday by the Justice Department.

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland a letter this week, the Ohio Republican and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee pointed out some “unusual” actions taken by the FBI ahead of the raid that Jordan believes require further explanation based on details provided by Steven D’Antuono, former assistant director-in-charge of the bureau’s Washington office, WND News Service reported.

D’Antuono explained that the Miami field office did not do the search on Trump’s home. “D’Antuono testified that FBI headquarters made the decision to assign the execution of the search warrant to the Washington field office despite the location of the search occurring in the territory of the FBI’s Miami field office,” Jordan wrote, adding that the former top FBI official said he had “absolutely no idea” why.

Secondly, Jordan noted, the DOJ did not assign a U.S. attorney’s office to the case, which D’Antuono described as “unusual.” D’Antuono also reportedly said he raised the question with “a lot” of DOJ officials, but they never provided him with a “good answer.”

Thirdly, Jordan wrote, “The FBI failed to first seek consent for the search.”

“Based upon his over-20-year tenure at the FBI, Mr. D’Antuono testified that he believed that the FBI, prior to resorting to a search warrant, should have sought consent to search the premises,” Jordan went on to explain, as that “would have been ‘the best thing for all parties’ involved.”

Finally, Jordan said that the nearly two dozen armed FBI agents who conducted the raid and subsequent document search did so without the former president’s attorneys being present.

The Ohio Republican also decried the Justice Department’s apparent ‘two-tier’ system for refusing to “indict former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her mishandling of classified information,” while it has also “failed to indict President Biden for his mishandling of classified information.”

“Jordan’s letter insists that Garland provide to Congress documents and communications about the FBI’s search on Trump’s home, and more,” the news center added.

Republicans on Friday began sounding the alarm over an event that occurred just hours before the Justice Department informed President Biden’s chief 2024 rival that he was going to be indicted.

Earlier in the day on Thursday, several House Republicans finally got a look at an FBI document that has been under subpoena for weeks, purportedly providing evidence of a bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden.

As reported by Fox News, sources told the outlet that “Biden was allegedly paid $5 million by an executive of the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings, where his son Hunter Biden sat on the board, a confidential human source told the FBI during a June 2020 interview.”

“The sources briefed Fox News Digital on the contents of the FBI-generated FD-1023 form alleging a criminal bribery scheme between then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national that involved influence over U.S. policy decisions,” the outlet continued.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) tweeted: “The SAME DAY @GOPoversight is shown a document by the FBI showing evidence that Biden and his son were each paid $5 million dollars by a foreign national the DOJ indicts Trump. Coincidental? I think not.”
