Fox News personality and host Judge Jeanine Pirro unloaded on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in an epic rant stemming from the administration’s lack of serious effort to shore up border security and clamp down on illegal immigration and drug smuggling.

In particular, Pirro’s remarks came in response to the vice president’s claim last month that the border is “secure” despite historic numbers of migrants crossing illegally and a dramatic increase in the smuggling of drugs, especially fentanyl, which killed nearly twice as many people last year as firearms or motor vehicle accidents. The host also slapped down Democrats and the administration for blaming the problem on former President Donald Trump and border state Republicans.

“Look, I don’t know how the woman gets out of bed and faces the world. She is a catastrophe,” Pirro said, quipping that Harris should have gone on Fox News’ late-night offering “Gutfeld!” featuring Greg Gutfeld instead of “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”

“Look, you know, maybe when she says the border is secure, maybe you shouldn’t have to listen to anything after that because you know it’s a lie,” she added. “So it doesn’t matter whether that stops someone from hearing the other things she’s saying because you know right then and there that she’s lying.”

“And then she says, ‘I love Joe Biden,’” Pirro noted further, reminding viewers that Harris essentially called Biden a segregationist when they shared a debate stage during the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries.

“She said, ‘Having been vice president, he knows what the job involves,’” Pirro added. “She’s basically selling herself to you saying because he was vice president, he could be a good president, so I could be a good president, too — but everybody knows Joe’s a disaster and you’re a disaster, too!”

Pirro went on to list a number of the specific issues that Harris — who was appointed to oversee the Biden administration’s efforts to gain control of the border and manage illegal immigration — had failed to address, such as rampant human and drug trafficking. Instead, Harris criticized Governors Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Greg Abbott (R-TX) for transporting migrants to self-proclaimed sanctuary cities, arguing that they were derelict in their duty to take care of migrants who had arrived in their states.

While Republicans and border sheriffs have pushed back on Harris’ claim the boundary is “secure,” some Democrats have also criticized the administration’s immigration policies, with one saying that “repercussions” were needed in order to stem the flow of illegal crossings.

Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas, whose district includes the city of Laredo, which is situated along the border, rebuked Biden and Harris over recent claims that the border is “secure” when it clearly is not. Cuellar, in an interview with CNN in mid-September, responded to Harris’ claim after host Michael Smerconish asked, “Congressman, that’s just not true, right? You’re on the front line. You’ve spent your whole life in Laredo. The border is not secure, is it?”

“The border is not secure, with all due respect to the VP,” he began. “This, look, we get thousands of people along the border, from 6,000 to 8,000 people a day.  They’re releasing people, and we can send you pictures and videos of what’s happened in Del Rio, the valley, El Paso, and other places. People are coming in.

“We have 1.7 million people that were encountered last year. We’re going to have 2 or maybe 2.2 million by the end of this fiscal year in about two more weeks. That’s almost 4 million people,” he added. “That doesn’t even include the getaways. Getaways are the people that border patrol has a good idea that evaded them. So you’re talking about almost 4 plus, maybe 4.4 million individuals in two years. If you call that ‘secure,’ I don’t know what ‘secure’ is.”

In an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Goliad County Sheriff Roy Boyd pushed back on Harris’ claims while also praising Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) for bussing hundreds of volunteer migrants to Democrat-run “sanctuary” cities like Washington, D.C., New York City, and Chicago.

“It was a great ploy by Governor Abbott to bring attention back to something that was kind of fading away from mainstream media,” Boyd said. “He’s put it back in their lap, and I applaud him for what he’s done.”
