Fox News has abandoned its conservative base and gone all-in on the President-elect Joe Biden train in a way not many had imagined.
And as part of that effort, it was reported by Newsmax on Saturday, that the network canceled Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show on Saturday after a dispute over coverage of the 2020 presidential election.
For those of you that might have tuned in and did not see Fox News’ “Justice” with Judge Jeanine Pirro on Saturday night, sources told Newsmax the show was suspended over a spot on the network’s coverage of President Donald Trump.
Sources close to the network tell Newsmax, because she made a very staunch defense of President Trump and wanted to expose the vote fraud that took place in the election, Fox News decided not to air her show. It had extended coverage of Democrat Joe Biden’s acceptance speech of a contested election.
The sources gave no inclination of whether the network is going to keep the show going, but we hear she was suspended at least for this weekend.
And that is not the only part of this that is frustrating. In an apparent change the Rupert Murdoch owned New York Post has also shifted to be more anti-President Donald Trump, The New York Times reported.
Last month The New York Post called President Trump “an invincible hero, who not only survived every dirty trick the Democrats threw at him, but the Chinese virus as well.” Then it published front-page articles trying to link the contents of a laptop said to belong to Hunter Biden to his father, Joseph R. Biden Jr.
On Thursday, in a sudden about-face, Rupert Murdoch’s scrappy tabloid published two articles with a wildly different tone. One accused the president of making an “unfounded claim that political foes were trying to steal the election.” The headline on the other described Donald Trump Jr. as the “panic-stricken” author of a “clueless tweet.”
Two sources for The Post talked to The Times on the condition of anonymity and said that they were told by top editors, after it appeared that the president would not win his election, to be tougher on him.
The Times said that the feeling at The Post, and one can guess at Fox News, is that is the president is sinking they do not want their brands to sink with him.
If that is the case, then what they are discounting are the 70 million citizens of this nation who voted for President Trump.
They are forgetting the people who lined their pockets with tons of cash as they championed our president.
But those same fans, those same viewers of and readers, can just as quickly take their reading to other websites, like the one you are on right now, and continue to get the news and opinions they want.
They can look to alternatives like the One America News Network and Newsmax TV to watch the hosts they want to hear from.
Rupert Murdoch does not own conservatives or conservatism and he is about to be learn that.
