Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump provided a big update about his 2024 campaign as the election cycle is about to really begin.

Lara took aim at the former president’s likely opponent, should he be the Republican nominee, President Joe Biden, as she accused him of persecuting her father-in-law.

“Take a look around. Four indictments are [in] four different, you know, areas in this country where my father-in-law’s indicted. Very clearly, Joe Biden has weaponized the Department of Justice against his No. 1 political opponent, Donald Trump,” she said to Newsmax TV host Bianca de la Garza.

“You have [Donald Trump] … being taken off the ballot in places not even allowing the American people to voice their opinion as to who they want to choose as their nominee. And then, of course, for president of the United States,” she said.

Lara, who is the wife of the former president’s son, Eric, said that it is “amazing” that Biden is “going all in on Donald Trump.”

“You would think if you had three years under your belt in the White House, and you had literally anything good to show that you had done while you were in control of this country, you would put it in a campaign ad. You would be talking about it,” she said.

“But the truth is, they have nothing. The truth is, you can’t fool people into thinking their life is better when indeed, their life is actually worse. So, they’re doing the same tactic they did in 2020, attack Donald Trump, attack Trump supporters,” Trump said.

“Look at the polling. Look at where Joe Biden is. They are in full panic mode right now,” she said. “Look at the people who have come over to the Republican side from the Democrat side. You have people every day changing their voter affiliation because they can no longer vote with the party who was hellbent on destroying this country.”

But she also took aim at some of her father-in-law’s Republican opponents, starting with former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who pledged on the ABC talk show “The View” not to support Trump if he becomes the Republican nominee.

“What kind of a guy is this who clearly doesn’t love this country enough to vote into office, a person with a proven track record, Donald J. Trump? The truth is, with Chris Christie, he’s always had sour grapes with my father-in-law because he was not chosen, I believe, as his running mate in 2016,” she said.

She then took a swipe at Trump’s former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.

“The truth is, she worked as part of his administration, and she knows very well the days of Donald Trump as president of the United States, this country was firing on all cylinders,” she said.

“People were successful. People had more money in their pockets. They felt safe and secure. We had a robust military. We did not have wars breaking out across the world. So people know the truth, and I feel sad that she felt the need to go that low. I hope it doesn’t hurt her in the future,” she said.

In the meantime, the White House has been frustrated with the media talking about the president’s disastrous approval rating.

Biden’s numbers have been falling for most of the past year and, in a growing number of polls, he is behind former President Donald Trump, who is leading the GOP field by a wide margin and appears to be on a glide path to the Republican nomination — even as Biden’s Justice Department attempts to convict Trump on several charges his supporters say are politically motivated.

According to The Hill, “Someone in the Biden orbit also told [the outlet] part of the frustration is the disproportionate media focus on the polls that show Biden losing while ignoring polls that show him winning.”

Though Trump has predicted the economy’s collapse under Biden’s administration, inflation is falling, stock prices are rising, and the unemployment rate is near “historic lows,” White House officials say. In addition, the Consumer Price Index measuring a basket of goods has slipped since the pandemic.

However, per The Hill, Biden administration officials claim that the economic progress is not getting the coverage needed to sway results in the polls.
