Lara Trump, daughter-in-law to former President Donald Trump, had quite a bit to say following his multiple indictments.

During a recent appearance on Fox News, the wife of Eric Trump, Lara said after the former president was charged with four felony counts related to allegations he fraudulently attempted to overturn his loss to Joe Biden that he did nothing wrong and acted as any president would who was receiving reports of “nefarious” activity.

Lara said that while working as a senior adviser to her father-in-law’s 2020 campaign, she told Watters that “multiple times a day,” she and others “would continue to receive reports from across the country of people, sometimes in the form of affidavits, detailing very questionable, nefarious things they saw at different polling locations.”

“So we had a lot of questions about what happened in the 2020 election. Quite frankly, I don’t think we’ve ever had an election in the United States history that we’ve come out of having more questions than we did post-2020,” she continued.

“Obviously, one of those people as well as a sitting president of the United States, my father-in-law Donald Trump, who did exactly what you would want a president to do,” she said. “He upheld and defended the Constitution of the United States by trying to ensure that we indeed had a free and fair election. That was his whole goal. That’s what he wanted to ensure was going on.”

Trump is the leading GOP candidate facing Biden. He has called his multiple indictments the ultimate in “election interference.”

“This is nothing more than the latest corrupt chapter in the continued pathetic attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their weaponized Department of Justice to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election, in which President Trump is the undisputed frontrunner and leading by substantial margins,” a Trump campaign spokesperson told Fox News Digital following the indictment.

“But why did they wait two and a half years to bring these fake charges, right in the middle of President Trump’s winning campaign for 2024? Why was it announced the day after the big Crooked Joe Biden scandal broke out from the Halls of Congress?” the spokesperson added.

“The answer is, election interference!” the spokesperson said. “The lawlessness of these persecutions of President Trump and his supporters is reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 1930s, the former Soviet Union, and other authoritarian, dictatorial regimes.”

“President Trump has always followed the law and the Constitution, with advice from many highly accomplished attorneys,” the spokesperson continued. “These un-American witch hunts will fail, and President Trump will be re-elected to the White House so he can save our Country from the abuse, incompetence, and corruption that is running through the veins of our Country at levels never seen before.”

The spokesperson concluded: “Three years ago, we had strong borders, energy independence, no inflation, and a great economy. Today, we are a nation in decline. President Trump will not be deterred by disgraceful and unprecedented political targeting!”

Biden continues to lose ground to his chief GOP rival and is now behind in another critical battleground state, according to a new poll.

The new EPIC/MRA poll finds Biden losing to Trump by 5 points, 46-41 percent, after leading Trump by a point in the same survey in August, Newsmax reported on Monday, a 6-point swing in two months’ time.

Meanwhile, former South Carolina governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley trounced Biden by an even bigger amount — 11 points — in the same survey.

Newsmax adds: “Biden pulled just 36% support against Haley and an even great percentage of likely voters were undecided (17%). Meanwhile, 37% of likely Michigan voters had not heard of Haley before, potentially showing her support might amount to merely voting against Biden.”

“Democrats ought to be aware there is a growing possibility that Donald Trump may become president again,” EPIC-MRA pollster Bernie Porn told the Detroit Free Press, per Newsmax.

With 16 electoral votes, Michigan is among the biggest of a handful of crucial swing states that most often decide presidential elections. It is also among the most Democrat-leaning swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
