Donald Trump is going to be running for president in 2024, according to a new report.
Trump “has told at least three people he’s dined with in recent months that he plans to run in 2024,” Rolling Stone reported.
One former Republican National Committee official told Rolling Stone: “I have three friends who’ve had dinner with him in the last couple of months. All three reported that his current plans are to run for president in 2024. Now, whether he does or not is a different issue. We’ve still got three years to go. But he’s telling people that.”
“Now, whether he does or not is a different issue,” the official added. “We’ve still got three years to go. But he’s telling people that.”
The Rolling Stone report revolves around three dinners that took place in recent months.
“The ex-R.N.C. official says the first two dinners took place in late spring. But the third dinner happened in the last two weeks,” the report said.
“The first two dinner companions came away from their conversations convinced Trump was serious and he’s running, the official adds. The third said he left the dinner ‘not 100% sure Trump wants to run but he likes being in the conversation, he wants to freeze the field, and he wants his name out there,” the report added.
“All the people I talk to who deal with him directly think as of now he is running,” an ex-Trump adviser added.
Donald Trump dropped a big hint a few weeks ago about his possible future plans.
During a town hall, Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Trump about his plans for the 2024 election and the live audience roared with applause when he responded.
“We don’t have a lot of time, but let’s talk about your future plans,” Hannity began.
“Now…Let me ask the crowd of everybody here, would you like to see the president run again in 2024?” Hannity asked the crowd.
He was met with immediate cheers and applause.
Hannity then asked Trump: “Let me ask you this without giving the answers, have you made up your mind?”
“Yes,” Trump said with a smile.
Other prominent political figures also think it’s obvious Trump is gearing up to run again.
Former Bill Clinton aide Dick Morris says it’s “obvious” that Donald Trump will win in 2024.
In a video posted to his website, Morris said the Republican nominee in 2024 is named Trump and no one else can come close to touching him.
“If Donald Trump runs, and I’m pretty certain that he will, he is going to win the Republican nomination, period,” Morris said.
Steve Bannon, who served as the chief White House strategist for President Trump, also made a huge prediction.
“Donald J. Trump is running again in 2024, there’s absolutely no doubt about that,” he said.
“This movement is on the march. Donald Trump is going to run for president again and I gotta tell you, he’s not gonna be stopped by a bunch of pencil necks in New York City that are putting up these trumped-up charges to try to stop him, it’s only gonna empower him,” Bannon said.
