A far-left New York state lawmaker is ripping into like-minded leftist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a brutal fashion.
Democrat state Sen. Jessica Ramos railed at Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter Sunday afternoon for allegedly never being “present in the community” that she represents, The Daily Wire reported:
The remarks from Ramos, Chair of the New York Senate Committee on Labor, came in response to an exchange that Ocasio-Cortez had online regarding healthcare.
“A couple of the most highly respected health policy academics recently set up a meeting with AOC’s office to discuss NHS-style healthcare reform,” a tweet from a random Twitter account said. “They were told bluntly by AOC’s staff, ‘we’re not doing healthcare right now.’”
The account added: “[S]o while she’s doing performative resistance art for the camera she’s ‘not doing healthcare right now.’ We are in the middle of two pandemics & people are still dying because they lack healthcare. this is not fighting.”
“I’m really sorry to hear that this happened. It’s not representative of me nor my values,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “If you can connect with details I’d appreciate it. I’ll follow so DMs will be open.”
Ramos then wrote directly to Ocasio-Cortez: “Maybe if you spent more time in your office and with your team you’d know what goes on.”
“Just saying it would be nice if you breathed our air. So, as an employer, what happens with the staffer who said this?” Ramos added.

Ramos herself then came in for criticism after she ripped ‘AOC,’ but she responded by explaining that Ocasio-Cortez’s offices in the city are on the same floor as hers, but the congresswoman is rarely ever there.
“Our district offices are on the same floor in the same building,” Ramos said. “She’s barely ever present in the community. It’s an indisputable fact.”
The Bronx Democratic socialist made news last week when it appeared she faked being placed in handcuffs after she was arrested for disrupting traffic near the U.S. Supreme Court building during a pro-abortion protest.
She was one of 17 Democrat lawmakers arrested “for Crowding, Obstructing or Incommoding (DC Code § 22–1307),” the U.S. Capitol Police said in a statement.
“Today, Rep. AOC was arrested along with other members of Congress outside the Supreme Court for protesting in support of abortion rights,” her staff said on her Twitter account.

It came after the Capitol Police issued a warning to protesters that they were going to take action.
“Demonstrators are starting to block First Street, NE. It is against the law to block traffic, so officers are going to give our standard three warnings before they start making arrests,” the department said.
“We have already given our standard three warnings. Some of the demonstrators are refusing to get out of the street, so we are starting to make arrests,” the department added.

After the arrests the department tweeted again.
“We made a total of 34 arrests for Crowding, Obstructing or Incommoding (DC Code § 22–1307). That arrest number includes 16 Members of Congress,” it said.

AOC claimed that what she did was not a “publicity stunt … for a headline” because it was “an activist-led civil disobedience” event.
“So why join disobedience at all?” she continued. “Because media cycles go FAST and the attention and urgency on Roe can easily fade. We must keep eyes on the issue. Civil disobedience is a highly effective way of accomplishing that, and it is a trained discipline.”
Her arrest came after California Democrat Rep. Judy Chu was also arrested by U.S. Capitol Police during a pro-choice protest for crowding, obstruction, or incommoding.
The department said that protesters blocked the intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue beside both the Capitol and Supreme Court buildings. Capitol police arrested 181 people after giving multiple warnings to demonstrators.
“The decision to march today was easy—I came out to march for the young rape survivor, the woman who cannot afford to travel to another state to access critical care, the mother with an ectopic pregnancy whose life is in danger. I came out to march for all of us,” Chu said in a tweet following her arrest.
