The White House, and in particular President Joe Biden, is getting used to failure on some of its big agenda items, among them their plan to federalize voting.

This week White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki appeared on the ABC Daytime television show “The View” and expressed those frustrations, and gave some weird advice on how people who are frustrated should deal with it.

“Look, I think this week has been frustrating, devastating, angering, all of those things that everybody who’s been fighting for this… There’s so many activists across the country who have been so central to getting to this point,” the press secretary said.

“I mean, just a year ago, there were more people who were opposed to filibuster changes in the Senate. So we’ve made some progress on that front. But we’ve got to stay at it,” she said.

“So my advice to everyone out there who is frustrated, sad, angry, pissed off, feel those emotions go to kickboxing class, have a margarita, do whatever you need to do this weekend, and then wake up on Monday morning. We got to keep fighting.

“And what that means, Linsey, is we have to keep talking to members about federal legislation. That’s essential. That’s something that can be permanent, that can make sure people’s rights are protected,” she said.

“But we also need to make sure people are educated and states across the country about what their rights are, how they can vote, when they can vote, how to request an absentee ballot. There’s a lot we need to do on that front, and that’s going to rely on the energy and the anger of those that activism as well,” she said.

That got the attention of Fox News host Greg Gutfeld who found it hilarious that she would recommend “booze” and “violence.”

“So Greg, you know, you just gotta have a drink, you gotta go to kickboxing class,” cohost of “The Five” Jesse Watters said, Mediaite reported. “Isn’t that obvious?”

“She is my kind of lady,” Gutfeld said to laughter. “When you’re faced with serious problems, resort to violence and booze. Beat someone up, perhaps a stranger. Get loaded. Marry me, you red devil! She is the best thing about this administration.”

“There’s just no competition,” he said.

“I have reached out to the White House for comment on Greg’s marriage proposal for the press secretary,” cohost Gillian Turner said later. “I will let you know as soon as she gets back to me.”

“It would be polygamous,” Gutfeld responded.

Days ago a pair of Fox News hosts appeared bewildered by a statement from White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki indicating that despite the ongoing migrant crisis at the U.S. border, the administration was not looking to change course.

Here’s a partial transcript:

HEMMER: “On the border now. It did not come up yesterday. Yet in 2021 we believe there were 2 million encounters at the southern border. Just blowing away all kinds of records. There does not seem to be much of a suggestion that the policy is going to change. Should we expect 2 million more encounters in the year 2022 now?”

PSAKI: “Well, I’m surprised, Bill as well, because it was a nearly two-hour press conference and people asked whatever they wanted, including some crazy questions in there. But I will say, Bill, what the president’s view is, is that we need to do more. We need to fix our broken immigration system.

That means smarter security at the border. It also means a more moral approach to how we are treating people when they come across the border. Now, some of those confrontations at the border mean we still have issues in these countries that have been going on for a long time.

This is why we see surges every couple of years, where people have challenging economic circumstances and they are not — and we haven’t done enough to address the root causes. That’s part of what we’re focused on as well. But we need to address this from many fronts.”
