Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is sounding off on Vice President Kamala Harris after her campaign got “the smallest bounce of anyone in the last century” after she “supposedly won the debate” against former President Donald Trump.
During an interview on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” McEnany spoke about recent polling being bad news for the Harris campaign.
Watters asked McEnany: “How does it feel now? It feels like Trump is back in the driver’s seat.”
“Without a doubt. I was reading, I believe a CNN analyst, who said that the person who walks away with the media saying they won the debate, which is what happened for Kamala, typically gets a huge bounce. And she got the smallest bounce, if you could even call it that, of anyone in the last century. I mean, this is not going well for her. And the number, if I am Kamala Harris and I’m going to sleep at night and trying to rest peacefully, the number that would keep me up at night is the RealClearPolitics average, I have a 2% lead and Biden had a 7% lead,” McEnany said.
“And when you go state-by-state, Biden has, in most cases, anywhere from 2 to 8 times as greater of a lead than Kamala Harris has right now. And that’s before you get to Trump leading in all the Sun Belt states, which would also keep me up at night. By the way, I will just add this in their — I know I’m throwing a lot of data at you, Jesse, but the early vote is looking really good. Democrats’ advantage has shrunk by 35% in Pennsylvania and 15% in North Carolina. I would not be sleeping right now if I were Kamala Harris,” she added.
Watters followed up by asking: “She is. She’s been off the map for what, since Friday? Why would you do this? She did this after her speech at the convention, she disappeared for a week. Why is she completely off the playing field right now?”
“It’s incomprehensible. And then this morning I wake up and see this chart in the media that says, ‘Trump isn’t doing rallies, where is he?’ And then I turn on my TV, 1:00 P.M., there he is giving this huge economic speech in Pennsylvania, a massive rollout of new policies, a comprehensive, well-thought-out strategy,” McEnany said.
She added, “And then I look at Kamala’s schedule on Monday morning and she isn’t anywhere until Wednesday? I guess she is taking it for granted. I don’t know what her in eternal pollsters are telling her. Maybe she borrowed Biden’s internal pollsters who kept feeding him these fluffy numbers.”

This comes as Trump looks to have made impressive gains over Harris, gaining roughly 14 points among independents and 19 points among Latino voters.
According to new polling from NPR/PBS News/Marist, Trump has surpassed Harris by three points among independents in a multi-candidate race, 49% to 46%.
This represents a considerable increase since August, when Trump trailed Harris, 59, by 11 points, 48% to 37%.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had received 12% of the vote in the previous survey, withdrew from the contest and endorsed Trump in the interim between the August and September polls.
Furthermore, Harris’s “honeymoon” following her sudden ascent to the nomination has started to level out.
