Former Fox News host-turned-top indy journalist Megyn Kelly blasted Georgia voting rights advocate Stacey Abrams following a photograph that went viral over the weekend showing her visiting a grade school class maskless, despite the fact that all of the kids and other adults in the room were wearing one.

After the picture circulated, Abram’s Democratic gubernatorial campaign put out a statement on Instagram that did not contain an apology or any mention of the fact that kids in the room, as well as adults, were all forced to wear a mask by school mandate.

“So, she’s not sorry, and the kids can shove it. Got it,” Kelly responded on Twitter.

Then added in all caps. “UNMASK OUR CHILDREN.”

In the statement, Abrams’ campaign appeared to justify her maskless appearance because February is “Black History Month,” though if true, that doesn’t explain how an observance serves as a means of preventing viral spread:

It is shameful that our opponents are using a Black History Month reading event for Georgia children as the impetus for a false political attack, and it is pitiful and predictable that our opponents continue to look for opportunities to distract from their failed records when it comes to protecting public health during the pandemic.

One of Stacey’s opponents downplayed the virus while trading stock to profit off the pandemic after his private coronavirus briefings as a Senator. Another of her opponents attacked mayors seeking to protect their citizens and has failed to expand access to Medicaid even as rural hospitals close.

This pathetic, transparent, and silly attack is beneath anyone who claims he wants to lead Georgia.

Donald Trump Jr. also took to social media to point out Abram’s maskless appearance.

“Why is the one person who’s truly at risk of COVID-19 infection the only one not wearing a mask? Trust the science!!!” he wrote.

The Daily Wire adds:

Last September, Kelly reacted harshly to a viral video showing a toddler, apparently in New York, resisting an apparent day-care worker trying repeatedly to put a mask on his face. Kelly tweeted simply, “This is So Wrong.”

Kelly has been harshly criticizing the use of masks on children for some time; after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) wore her “Tax the Rich” gown to the ultra-expensive Met Gala, Kelly tweeted, “A pathetic self-aggrandizing hypocrite. Meanwhile our kids are muzzled & six feet apart all day long while trying to learn but she & these other ‘Rules for Thee but Not for Me’ pols can parade around maskless & in top of each other at the Met Gala bc, SCIENCE.”

She added, “Our 8, 10 & 11 yr olds are in masks ALL DAY at school. They eat lunch divided from the other kids by plexiglass — there is no conversation. These pics of these elitist snobs w/no masks, surrounded by crowds, eating & dancing the nite away — are INFURIATING.”
