Melania Trump Announces New Documentary With Amazon

Amazon Prime has secured exclusive global rights to a documentary film that will offer an “unprecedented behind-the-scenes look” at First Lady Melania Trump’s life, Fox News Digital has confirmed.

The documentary is slated for global theatrical and streaming release in the second half of 2025.

Filming for the documentary began in December 2024. Melania and Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media will executive produce it, and Brett Ratner of RatPac Entertainment will direct it.

Prime Video is expected to provide more details about the project as filming progresses and will announce its plans once they are finalized, according to Fox News Digital.

The announcement comes just weeks before Mrs. Trump’s return to the White House as the First Lady of the United States.

It also follows the release of her first-ever book, Melania, several months ago. The memoir offers an intimate look at Melania Trump, featuring personal stories and family photos that she had not previously shared with the public.

Since its release to the public, the memoir has been at the top of the New York Times’ best-selling list.

In November, just days after President-elect Trump was elected the 47th President of the United States, Mrs. Trump launched a digital photography series to showcase her life on the 2024 campaign trail and at home.

In an interview with Fox News Digital last year, Melania shared that if she had the privilege of serving as First Lady again—beginning January 20, 2025—she would continue to focus on initiatives aimed at the well-being and development of children, ensuring they have the “support and resources they need to reach their full potential.”

“My focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow and thrive,” she said.

During the first Trump administration, the first lady hosted virtual roundtables on foster care as part of her “Be Best” initiative, emphasizing efforts to strengthen the child welfare system, Fox noted. She collaborated with members of Congress on legislation that provided funding for grants to support youth and young adults currently or formerly in foster care, helping them pay for college, career school, or training.

The bill was ultimately signed into law by then-President Donald Trump in December 2020.

Students in the “Fostering the Future” program are currently enrolled in various colleges and universities nationwide, with a primary focus on fields such as technology and computer science.

“Writing my memoir has been an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows,” Melania told Fox News Digital last year. “Each story shaped me into who I am today.”

She said that “although daunting at times, the process has been incredibly rewarding, reminding me of my strength, and the beauty of sharing my truth.”

Regarding the Amazon project, “Melania Trump will serve as an executive producer of the project, signaling that the documentary is being made with her full participation — and editorial control,” CNN reported. “The documentary will have both a theatrical and streaming release, according to Amazon.”

CNN has reported that the former and future First Lady is unlikely to return to Washington full-time after her husband’s inauguration, highlighting her readiness to break with tradition as she resumes her high-profile, though unelected, role on the global stage.

Sources indicated that discussions about how and where she will spend her time are still ongoing.

“I’m not anxious because this time is different. I have much more experience and much more knowledge. I was in the White House before. When you go in, you know exactly what to expect,” Melania Trump said in an interview with Fox News last year as she promoted her memoir.
